  1. Past hour
  2. not checked the averages yet, but don't understand why no-one wants Jonas Jeppesen?
  3. Klindt talks the talk. Big points for Rybnik in Poland yesterday no doubt next outing will be 3 or 4 points again whoever he’s riding for
  4. Adam Ellis & Mitch McDiarmid replace Matej Zagar & Troy Batchelor. I am baffled how Klindt has kept his team spot. Truly.
  5. One of our best riders at Berwick was taken out by an opposition rider in his third race (after being taken off in his 2nd race by an opposition rider). That meant we had to cover with our other reserve only. That could have cost us the meeting. Good to see Tate isn't to badly injured.
  6. Well got that wrong 😀 but will take a fighting comets win, but bandits did throw it away a bit IMO. Glad Tate has no broken bones, after reviewing the race this morning, I can put it down to a racing incident, Tate cut back a bit while Morris was coming fast on the inside, no malice IMO
  7. Anyway back to Poole 2026!!😊 With fixtures now coming thick and fast for August I'm aware of one rider who has had positive discussions with the club - but not sure whether as a guest or permanent?! As with any rider - it will please some but not others.
  8. Today
  9. Could be him or Zagar. Zagar is completely washed up now and I doubt he is cheap either. Has fallen off hugely this season.
  10. 100%, however, at least, 10 years too late... When the Sky money went, and most of the worlds best with it, they should have pulled up the drawbridge and set out their own pathway... Instead, they decided to let Poland and the FIM dictate when they could and couldn't run.. And the 2nd tier got used to having tier one level riders getting subsidised by the upper level... With tier one happy, now the Sky money had gone, to use these riders also at a "reduced rate" compared to having to pay out for these riders by themselves... The result? Too many places being taken by too few riders, which then stifled development of UK riders, with a non stop stream of foreign journeymen entering and leaving using the UK Speedway revolving door... And, just to compound things, to ensure riders could DU, race nights were fixed, (not necessarily the best ones), but that was the only way clubs could actually put out a team of seven riders.. (Apologies, I mean it was done so GP riders could ride over here, because if they did the crowds all around the country would boom wouldn't they, and TV companies would fall over themselves to tender to cover it?!!!!) You have to hope that someone can see what not to do (ie the same old, same old), and build a clear strategy for growth... I like Richard Coleman's comments about just 300 extra at every track would be a game changer, as that puts into perspective where the sport actually is, and is surely a tangible realistic attainment given the conurbations so many tracks sit in... 300 x £20 is £6,000 x 15 matches per season = £90k... It must be worth paying someone a grand a week to try and get 300 extra punters through the door, (any random 300, they don't have to revisit), given the tens of thousands, even hundreds of thousands, if not millions, on the doorsteps of UK Speedway tracks, less than 45 mins away... Whatever they do decide, this time they cannot afford to keep getting it wrong..
  11. I love to watch Woryna. With Dan Bewley out of the GPs, he's the main reason to watch. Yes, he's unorthodox at times but if other riders really thought he dangerous they wouldn't be quiet about it!
  12. Would imagine Klindt, but it could be Batchelor
  13. Drew Kemp moves to no.2 for Leicester whilst Jonas Jeppeson guests for the now retired Kyle Howarth at no.6.
  14. For anyone that would like to send in objections to the latest planning application from Brandon Estates the details are here. https://www.savecoventryspeedway.com/_mobile/news.php?extend.4323.1
  15. Yeah and this point is exactly why you can’t be a die hard speedway fans in the UK. Lynn and Sheffield are battling to be in the playoffs offs with Ipswich. So what happens… 2 Ipswich riders are in this match, that doesn’t make this sport attractive to fans. Riders, and rightly so, take guest bookings for money. But fans can’t support a league that has not loyalty to their club and is more like a merry-go-round. I’m so no bothered about Ipswich this season, I go to every home match but I’m certainly not invested in it as I would be to say football where it’s actually your club and players. If either Edwards or Lawson gets injured tonight, then a meeting that has nothing to do with their contracted club has just finished the season for their contracted club.
  16. Thomsen and Kvech ride replacing Bewley and Holder. Lindgren rides.
  17. Signing announced at 1pm today. Hopefully the “Wright” one for the Foxes.
  18. Final result 1st Szczyrba 15- follows up his SGP 3 win 2nd Oscenda 14 3rd Jimil 12 ARO 4th Ziman 12 ARO
  19. Think uk speedway is now comparable to level 5,level 6 football, tho attendances and stadium facilities would be better at level 5, and a lot of level 6 would also be better than speedway, so need to be thinking at this level and realise speedway is now only ever going to be minority sport with limited public appeal, start with a majority of part time riders!
