I’ve given the speedway authorities plenty of stick over the years. Plenty of daft regulations golden doubles aka the twit hat, green helmet colours the home team riding with numbers 8-13 then some that are still with us out of control doubling up, guest feats the list goes on. However the super heat does add something, some drama & atmosphere. It’s the one change over the last 30 years that actually adds something positive.

Poole v Plymouth Championship

Pirates are certainly riding with a lack of consistency in the team. Last night both reserves exceeded their averages while the main 2-5 under achieved. Its Glasgow's to lose now unless the Pirates can get it together! -

We also didn't have Leon or Ashton in our away match at Poole, since then Dan and Leon have hit some good form but we still have a bit of a mental block regarding racing at Poole, if we can overcome the Monarchs in our KO cup match then we will see how we fare at Poole then. ( although we have a big job to overcome the monarchs as they ride our track very well) - Yesterday

Prediction of 2025 Championship league
cyclone replied to Bitza's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Redcar on paper, probably should win all their 5 remaining fixtures, whereas 2 of Edinburgh remaining 5 include the highly impressive Glasgow. My prediction would Redcar 3rd with Edinburgh & Oxford fighting for fourth which could be decided by their home & away matches with Workington. -

Redcar now look favourites for 4th (or 3rd) ahead of Oxford. But could change again. However Redcar look to have the easier run in. -

Glasgow have only lost 2 matches this season…. 1 Home and 1 Away…..both to the same team….Just remind us who that was?….Heres a clue ☠️??? -

Barker isn't a heat leader, otherwise IRR would have been covered by second strings. Glasgow will probably finish top. But could be Poole vs Edinburgh. -

Well done Paul Starke, rider of the night. Jan and Kevin 😃 -
Wow you do write so much garbage Klindt loves the Poole track … 10 from 4 and 12 from 5 last season Nicholls scored 6 from 5 in the cup final but loves Poole lol Decent win??? By 6?? Against a team with 2 weak reserves and getting an injured heat leader during the meeting after 1 ride to be replaced by average reserves Poole are struggling … Glasgow and Redcar must be licking their lips …. Glasgow to finish top and Poole to face Redcar in the semis

If the Witches are flowing then they could easily hit 65 Points in this meeting. -
Hopscotch, tail on the donkey (or dirt deflector on the speedway bike), marbles.... Surely the SCB are being a bit tongue in cheek here, it's a random way to see who gets the choice, for goodness sake. I wonder if the coin has to have a minimum number of revolutions to be legal toss, or they could toss off if there's a dispute.....

It's the shape and also the material doesn't appear to have enough clay mixed in. -

The track is always rubbish so must have been abysmal tonight. -
Great result for the Bears tonight, well done everybody.Just shows the lottery of the guest system though, got lucky with the choice this time, but they surely can’t keep gambling like this?Bears in semi’s of the KO Cup,BSN trophy and probably the playoffs. It will be even harder to get good guests then with more restrictions.Just hope they haven’t left it to late to make a team change(or two!) Now and again! I take it you didn’t get my attempt at irony???

Absolutely does and it really suits his style. The higher banking work done during the winter especially around bends 3 and 4, has become more and more evident as the season has gone on. Ellis has made up huge ground on those in front of him by taking that outside route. -

It was a better result than Oxford achieved who are meant to be one of the main contenders in the play offs, if we had lost to Redcar tonight there would be pages and pages on here. We won but still get slated because we didnt win by enough. Going to be tight for the bonus point but we can do it. Zach rode so well for Belle Vue but struggled tonight. Dan T was a great guest for them and so was Darryl, Perry also rode well. Starke was better too which was encouraging.
