  2. semi pro footballers have jobs outside, they don’t go home early, even as a sub they will come on the pitch afterwards and claps the fans for there support. Richard never done that at Lakeside, he was a legend for us, always had time for the fans, what has changed?
  3. It's currently 37 points (technically 40, but Rising Stars can be higher than 3.00 while still at #7 for team building, i.e. Edwards at the start of this season, and continuing.
  4. Gavan, you go on about Dan’s (trier) & Brady’s (slacker) performance around Foxhall. Could you do me a favour and look back over the last ten meetings at Foxhall involving both riders and let me know how many times Dan was the better of the two? If they have an unequal amount of rides just work out their average for that meeting to arrive at the better performer. We can then hopefully draw a line under this matter. Many thanks.
  5. Wokeing aren't popular, it's just we have to go there in championship title hunt. Kevin and Jan on way to Scunthorpe then wokeington. Just having McDonald's on way up from Somerset.
  6. You've hit the nail on the head. Speedway has bred a generation of avaricious riders who want to have their cake and eat it: they want to earn their bread and butter in the UK leagues and chase the Polish Zloty to put the jam on top. This faces the British authorities with the dilemma of having to dance to the Polish tune when trying to plan the home fixture list. This cannot go on. It's robbing British speedway of all its precious resources. We, the paying public, have to demand radical change in 2027 or we'll lose our sport forever. There is a demand for action that we the supporters have to make clear to the powers that be. Sign the petition NOW: https://c.org/bdpftrNZdQ
  7. Tell you what, Mike, let's not wait for the Promoters' Association to reveal their secret plan which, let's face it, will just amount to the same old same old, let's make our voices heard and do something about it right now. Sign the petition NOW: https://c.org/bdpftrNZdQ
  8. And like the rest of the paying public, are you just going to sit there and watch it happen?...or will you join the small minority that is determined to make their voices heard and force change in the "corridors of power"? If so, sign the petition NOW: https://c.org/bdpftrNZdQ
  9. This is speedway fans to a tee and the reason promoters think nothing needs doing. You can have 150 dire races and 4 good ones and the good ones mean everything is fine. Equally you have people chomping at the bit to witness a poor meeting at a decent circuit. Tall Poppy syndrome. If you need a reroof, I’m your man. 4 out of every 154 slates will be installed really well. Bank transfer ok?
  10. Tough match for the unbeaten-at-home Bandits this week, but that's how they like 'em! Charles Wright makes a welcome return for the visitors -- a better, safer pair of hands that the sometimes brilliant, sometimes awful Nikolai Klindt. No Nick Morris for Berwick, but everyone can takes his races. A reminder that regular Season Passes will NOT be valid for this match, but Pass Holders can claim admission through either E-ticket or cash on the night at the Box Office entrance. As ever, accompanied under-16s are free, turnstiles open at 6pm with the show beginning at 7pm Weather outlook fine, car parking is FREE. BANDITS: 1. Peter Kildemand 8.17 2. Jye Etheridge 5.76 (C) 3. Victor Palovaara 6.59 4. Jordan Jenkins 4.86 5. Nick Morris 6.69 RR 6. Jack Smith 3.04 7. Reid Battye 4.00 BEARS: 1 - Charles Wright 9.11 2 - Simon Lambert 4.93 3 - Jake Mulford 4.56 4 - Jason Edwards 6.51 5 - Jake Allen 6.64 6 - Ace Pijper 4.37 7 - Jody Scott 4.40
  11. Today
  12. Once upon a time, a man with two jobs repeatedly turned up for his second job just in time to start it.. And he did his second job quite well most weeks, although he didn't always spend too much time getting involved with his work mates or customers.. As he had a main job he would often leave his evening job as soon as he could, so he could get back home, as he had to be up early for his main job the next morning... Some people didn't like him doing this... But he wasn't bothered... The End..
  13. These kind of reactions from him shows why krakow kicked him out of their team last week. He needs to be removed from the Witches squad with immediate effect. I was at the meeting so didn’t hear all of this stuff that was being shown on BSN but reading this is just the final piece of the puzzle to get him removed.
  14. Most matches Lawson is one of the last to arrive and then rocks up with dirts bikes, and if he is about in the pits before the meeting he don't always bother with the track walk or parade, he may be a regular points scorer home and away but he certainly aint no team player, dunno how his attitude rubs off with the rest of the team in the pits.

  16. After the meeting when all the riders went to wave to the fans and the fans stayed behind. Pissed me off that did!
  17. When BSN asked Hurry who was in Heat 15, he said: “Brennan and Nicholls because that’s all I’ve got left!”.
  18. Sheffield’s last two matches have shown that R/R at home and guests away for Jack Holder aren’t brining in the points he would have scored. If they look to replace Jack Holder and possibly Jye Etheridge what points would they have to play with? Wonder if they might go down the route to try and make team more solid down lower end and try find two riders to do that (easier said than done I know) say Charles Wright and a.n.other?
  19. Watching BSN, Lawson looked like he was frustrated with the track and obviously decided after heat 12 he was going home, not a good look. There should be a rule that no rider should be packing stuff away until the final race has been completed. In football you don’t see Subs walking off ten minutes before the final whistle to get changed even if all the subs have been used.
  20. Okay let's unpack and examine what you and some others are saying here... British Speedway develops these riders by providing them with team spots in at least 2 and sometimes 3 leagues in the UK, regular meetings across the the country at different tracks offering different conditions, points scoring opportunities, bike time and a chance to earn some money... but then we allow them to regularly miss those meetings to go and ride either individually, for their country or even for clubs in other country's... but to what end? How does this benefit British Speedway, I'm yet to hear a single valid reason from anybody who is in favour of letting this kind of thing continue 🤷‍♂️ The senior and junior GB Speedway teams have only ridden in the UK a handful of times over the last 10-15 years, they have been quite successful yet have got pretty much zero media coverage from this and certainly little to no extra bums on seats. In fact exactly the opposite due to the regular gaps in domestic team line-up's and meetings due to this folly! We've had a 3 x World Champion, a World No 2, a World No 3, an SoN gold, an SoN silver, has this benefited British Speedway? At junior level pretty much zilch! The junior level events are not even covered on TV anymore and when they were, they were tucked away on obscure streaming channels... the only way to follow these young lads escapades on the continent now is on the Speedway Updates website if you're lucky! And if these kids do make it to a decent standard and clear off leaving British Speedway behind like DJ Woffy and Lambot...How does any of that benefit British Speedway? International Speedway is almost dead in this country, the GP has gone from 40,000 attending Cardiff to barely 6,000 in Manchester, no test matches, nothing for the U21's. That is the reality of all of our success at the World level. To advocate the continuation of this behaviour is very much in the Business As Usual camp. The only other team sport, that I can think of, that follows this model is Cricket... but they have the luxury of a massive TV contract and full house crowds following a national team that regularly appears at home and abroad in Test, ODI & T20 matches. They have a backup domestic competition that is superbly promoted with The Hundred and T20 Blast, players regularly miss matches for "their clubs", especially when on international duty... unfortunately we're missing all of that and just have what would be the equivalent of the County Championship with hardly anybody attending or really caring who wins, except for a few die hard social misfits. It is little more of a proving ground for up and coming players and a chance for journeymen to keep their hand in. If these Speedway riders want to put the odd continental meeting ahead of a full campaign in the UK, absolutely good luck to them 👍but it cannot continue at the expense of British Speedway and not just Team GB riders but any rider that decides he wants to top his earnings up by doing the occasional meeting in the UK. Don't get me wrong I am not laying the blame for all of this at the riders, the governing bodies in the country have allowed this to happen and often encouraged it, I cannot understand for the life of me why though, but one thing is for definite, the fans have said a resounding Nope!
  21. Probably the toughest Team decision they'll ever have to make imo. King's GSA will be in the same bracket as No.5's and he can't ride at No.5 so it's a big problem when it comes to Team Building. Do Mayfield go for an out-an-out No.1 and then scrap a No.5 altogether to fit King in or do they ship King off to Northampton and go with a proper No.1 and No.5? Brennan should be pencilled in for the No.3 imo so King may have to ride with his head a little bit to keep his average down if he wants to return imo, Try and let Brennan finish ahead of him when Team Riding like Lawson has done for years when it comes to his Team partners.
  22. Think your suggestion is very realistic,it would at least bring some credibility back into GB speedway.Poland do not use guests for missing riders (injury or otherwise). it gives junior riders a chance too progress. It would do the same over here.(At a different level obviously )but credible.
  23. Try a sample size of more than just one meeting next time, how about comparing a British GP with some of the tripe Leicester has served up over the years for example.
  24. Actually this season he's only in as an injury replacement... but I take your point and was actually thinking very much the same thing last night, when he first came to the UK a couple of years ago as a "full time" GP rider I, and maybe Lynn, thought they were going to get an 8 or 9 pointer, turns out he's more of a 6 or 7 pointer, a welcome addition to the league anyway and somebody who appears to want to ride here 👍
