Sheffield v Leicester 24/09 7:30pm - PO Semi 1st Leg

Joe Thompson take a bow. Leicester will need heat advantages in heats 12 & 14 I suspect. -
Northampton set to have a good crowd on Saturday. I get your point and some clubs obviously struggled such as Stoke and Birmingham but Wolves always got a good crowd.

Still think sheffield have enough in 13 and 15 to bring this home -
There clearly isn't the demand for it back. No good sulking and stamping your feet on here. The sport is absolutely on its arse in the UK. Look at the money Workington are losing and you would imagine Northampton will be losing next season etc. The sport never moved on from years gone by and is still stuck in the 70s/80s and the people who were fans then are either too old or have passed away. The sport had the world at its feet when Sky Sports first got involved but made an absolute ballsup of that and now look at it. I loved going to Newport every week from the relaunch until its closure but realise the crowds werent there, promotion losing money etc, sometimes its best to enjoy the good memories and move on. Wolves aren't wanted at Monmore and theres no big effort to get them anywhere else, that should tell you something.

Dr Dickson at it again. -
Do people think the one rider over 8.0 rule will still be used?
-
Bears need changes, riders and , it seems track curator who has now left the club. That position is harder to find than a high potential 2 pointer ! When’s George, sorry, the new promoter getting announced ? Rules are rules so can’t fit in Wright and Klindt. Will Wright get a Polish top league contract and go Premiershipas his two leagues ? I doubt it but you never know . if he does Klindt has to be the man. Think Scott will be in big demand next season but would love to see him at Redcar again. Id keep Pijper and possibly Mulford as a second string with still some progression in him. Edwards needs to move on if he has ambition , if not , he’ll be the same again next season , inconsistent! Same with Allen , he does well at home but his away form isn’t great . Lambert needs to retire or stay NDL. New signings ? Ziscke ? Southwick ? Kemp ? Ablit ?

As good a time as any, you would think. https://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/markets/article-16167165/Ladbrokes-owner-Entain-crashes-six-year-low-Brazil-bans-online-gambling.html

He wouldn’t last long With Matt Ford.

Total waste of space

Looks good but as eluded to Klindt will be expensive , hopefully Batch is back but the travelling must be taking its toll on him, Antti would be welcome back for his home form alone.
-
Similar thoughts to @Woke23 about the 2027 team. Klindt will be definitely a top target given how dominant he is at Northside, availability/cost a big factor as stated. I quite like Jakobsen too, so wouldn't mind if he was back at reserve. But this team fits quite well if the 40 point limit stays; Klindt 8.81 Rasmus Pedersen 5.00 Zischke 6.52 Batchelor 7.13 Vuolas 6.68 Perry 2.60 Foord 3.24 39.98

That was the plan if entain would play ball, wolves on a Monday and cradley on a Wednesday, under separate promotions giving entain double the rent but that’s a no go at this moment in time, finding the sites are not really the problem, it’s the councils, they say one thing in public but do the opposite in reality

2027 - 8 Team Premiership
YeOldPitGate replied to CTRSports's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Well we did get Linda in the travel lodge room with the used McDonalds bag pulling out team names other than that as far as I'm aware errrr nothing. -
With the great Foxhall Stadium holding next years British GP, in order to maximise the potential attendance of the event is there any chance that the 3rd and 4th bend terracing will be reopened and available for spectators?
-
Any mileage if the right sight could be found central to them both running two teams from the same track Dean like Inter & AC Milan do in footy , appreciate finding a site is easier said than done.

King's Lynn Stars 2027
YeOldPitGate replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I would say both to different degrees he said a few years back he wouldn't subsidise the stars to the levels he had previously , he thought Brady would be the man to hand the club off to but we know that didn't work out, equally I don't think he wants to see the club fold even if it made his life easier but he's not going to go all in on a knockout team in his late sixties and risk losing his retirement pot.
