  1. Past hour
  2. Why would Lewi not be allowed? Wouldn't he now fall into the 'someone from the Championship' category.....
  3. Or getting your RS to pull out 'injured' so you can replace them with your GP reserve......
  4. You probably think that was an incredibly funny comment. It wasn't And well done to the Tigers for another entertaining meeting.
  5. Yes but we need him to score some as Starke is not scoring many and Glasgow looking very strong and could easily beat us to top spot.
  6. One or two decent races but overall not great with Sam Masters the stand out rider.Great to see Ricky Ashowrth at the meeting.Spoke to my relation Ashley on the second bend from Belford and has been a long term supporter of the banditoos. Not been for a few years now and like the place etc but racing is what it is.
  7. even before the rain it was a borefest, even after the rain it was a borefest,,,,highlight of the meeting, the adverts Kurtz is riding well, Freddie has the biggest pair of balls going, BZ is the entertainer, the rest will have the odd GP here and there to raise the pulses. The tracks in general for the GP's are little more than a gaters paradise, boils my piss when we are six races in and we are told that the track will come good, over a quarter of the way through a meeting and its follow the leader, Then after any track preparation it goes back to gate and go.
  8. I thought the racing wasn't great at Riga last night and the stadium was not even full, even though the capacity there is not much. The racing wasn't great either. Worrying times for the SGP. The final result was good though and thanks to Brady Kurtz the world championship is still open with two rounds at Wroclaw and Vojens still to come.
  9. I suspect cairns will not score much at all until the playoffs, poole need him to get his average down for next seasons team plans.
  10. How do you know what he needs? Bet you’ve never spoken to the kid and you’re on the internet calling him cocky and saying he thinks he’s a superstar because he’s taken a couple of guest bookings. Strange strange behaviour.
  11. Today
  12. There is nothing to stop the opposing team using their second highest averaged rider at number 2 to counteract this, so nothing wrong with it imo
  13. What old ruling? You have always been able to have a guest at 6. It is only r/r which is for top 5.
  14. Just about every team manager uses R/R at 2 these days, don’t understand the consternation around this as in 3 of the heats the replacement is with theoretically the teams strongest rider and then in heat 8 you get to use said rider. It worked nearly perfectly for Oxford last night too as they got 2 x 5-1’s, 1 x 4-2 and would have had another if it wasn’t for Masters running out of fuel. Peter Schroek makes some strange and terrible decisions but putting R/R at two was absolutely the right thing to do and seems to be the consensus thing to do these days. I found it more odd he didn’t use Knudsen in Heat 12 and put Killeen in heat 15.
  15. Great to also see how many youngsters in attendance. The kids race was packed. the mascot entertaining the crowd and more importantly the riders interacting with the crowd. None of the above costs much but can certainly make the experience of race night so much better between races. well done Plymouth
  16. We have to have a guest now Cook has gone to reserve, R/R is now not an option 👍🏻 so tomorrow night against Leicester we have a choice between Tungate (no chance), Kildemand, Palovaara or someone from the championship… as I’ve been told Lewi isn’t allowed to guest tomorrow
  17. Good to see you Neila especially as we took the bonus point lol. It was a good meeting takes 2 teams to make a good match good luck for the rest of the season
  18. I agree, think Cairns (this season) & Rushen (next season) would be wise not to jump into an RS spot too soon.
  19. Yesterday
  20. Was some good races but from a comets point of view too many last/non scoring) races, 11 of them. can't get an away win or bonus point with this many no scores, and only 4 heat wins, tough watch on the terraces from the 15-20 comets fans who made the 800 mile round trip
  21. Still probably the fastest his bikes gone all year
  22. Just caught up with this and what a great advert for grass roots British Speedway! 13 committed lads, great racing, a close scoreline for the aggregate bonus point, incident and controversy. The Plymouth track has taken some stick in the past but it was spot on tonight. Absolutely put the tripe served up in Latvia in the GP to shame in comparison. The commentator mentioned it, the word of the night was commitment and without wishing to labour the point, tonight's match showed that Plymouth and British Speedway does not need the likes of Nicolai Klindt. It's just a shame that the rules and the spineless SCB are letting this situation continue with Klindt treating Plymouth like a piece of dirt and a last resort pay day.
  23. They are doing alot of things right at Plymouth and it is being rewarded with better attendances so well done the Gladiators. After saying this I thought 150 minutes for 15 heats was too long tonight. The interval in particular was too long even with the kids race and the re-runs of heat 14. I tried the curry and rice tonight and it was very nice. Wouldn't hesitate to purchase again.👍
  24. The Fox Cubs look a lot stronger now. Freddy Hodder & Jordy Loftus signed in place of Sonny Springer & Caydin Martin. Won't catch King's Lynn at the top of the table, but should help them get away from bottom spot. No changes yet for the Lion Cubs, although Springer has a lower average so won't have the same options. Calum Mitchell of King's Lynn looks the best option. There's not a lot of NDT riders without a NDL team spot.
  25. Yeah have to agree with this, when we needed him to stand up tonight (which he eventually did last night) he went missing in action. It will be hard for him to progress further in speedway without showing more steel and adaptability on tracks of different shape and surface quality.
  26. Oxford didn't have an obvious "number 2" after Masters the others could really have filled any position from 2-5. Pre match I would've favoured them to have the beating of Hagon in heat 8, whoever went in position 2. Masters is the only one I wouldn't have put in that heat. If they worry was a weaker Oxford rider wouldn't win in heat 8, put McDiarmid at 2 maybe?
  27. Kurtz WC this year, He'll win the Wroclaw round as well imo.
