Is it not because Palovaara has yet to make his debut so MM comes in as a 75% guest? -

Should have realised, I did watch the Oxford meeting last night! Things change so quick in speedway with team changes , guests, r/r, injuries etc. -
While I appreciate that Neila is just having a pop at Poole, the reality seems to me to be that generally Poole supporters are only too aware, that this season isn't going to be like last year. The Pirates are still a strong team for sure, but riders aren't being very consistent or finding their best form at this point, Lawson being the obvious exception, and you might well include Kerr too. So it's an obvious concern going into the sharp end of the season, hence fans' on line comments.

Mitch McDiarmid has moved into the main body of the team now or had on Saturday at Berwick and home last night against Redcar. -

Will be interesting to see what line up turns up for Oxford. Becoming a joke with line ups this season. Ipswich tonight is a prime example. 100% no Gusts as doing GP Challenge. -

Given Dan’s showboating after heat 15 I’d guess the communication between manager and riders was sadly lacking. You hit the nail on the head about letting Emil go and concentrate on Jason, a tactic that I think would have worked if attempted. It’s always been a bugbear for me when riders are told the score and they say they had no idea. If I was manager I tell all my team that I could ask them the score at any time and I’d want a correct answer. Sure, riders want to win but the team must come first so why jeopardise a needed safe position with an unnecessary risky passing manoeuvre. It’s very different these days as it’s a group of individuals riding for a club and not a team in the true sense of the word. If a rider doesn’t know the meeting score how will they know if Jake is have a bad time and needs some assistance? -

I think we spend as much time on here discussing what might be prior to a meeting as we do discussing a meeting result. We use past performance as a way of formulating our predictions and I feel this predicting is right and proper on a speedway forum. We predict what Dan and Jake will likely score together with all those in between and we do this for both teams. Using this method we can arrive at a likely score for any particular rider and base our assumptions on this. If we are to stop doing this then pre meeting discussion will be less than it is now, which is down greatly from its heyday. On the Jaimon scores we need to remember he would have been partnered by a very effective Zach Cook so we can’t just willy nilly add 4 or 5 points to our total. Using the previously mentioned method of predicting scores I’d have us finishing on 48 points with Jaimon in and it would still have been a last heat decider. As I posted before, not a convincing win and not one to inspire an aggregate win should we meet in the play offs. -
After two tough away matches the Comets are back home to face the Oxford Cheetahs who have a high scoring heat leader in Sam Masters and two very good reserve riders in Mitch McDiarmid and Luke Killeen. Hopefully the Comets will be back to full strength after injuries to Jye Etheridge and Vinnie Foord.

Must admit, don't think Poole are favourites this year, has to be Glasgow for me, but never right Poole off, we all know who they are come the playoffs. On the subject of being quiet, don't think we will hear much from you, after the Glasgow match tomorrow night -

So is his obsession with Steve Shovlar. -
The usual suspects are quite today. Maybe the penny has dropped and they now know pilots are not as good as they think, the other play off teams must be licking their lips looking forward to meeting Poole over 2 legs

I'd say 7+2 from 4 rides, from a 4 point rider pretty decent myself. I'd also say 6+1 from 4 rides from Cairns, who is just 16 was decent as well. Not sure i would of felt the need to mention his poor gating in his last ride. Just my opinion of course. -

I don't think that has anything to do with it. It is more likely that Peter Schroek is the Oxford TM!
