Curtain down on the NL season at Iwade and time to say well done to Messrs Graveling and Gray for bringing speedway back to South East. Thanks also to all those volunteers who helped make it happen.

Being self employed doesn’t prevent riders being on or off a list of those who agree to a statutory & all inclusive “guest pay rate” - The challenge would be to get all promotions to abide by the associated rules & not to try work arounds. Which of course some will, especially those with little business acumen, and or their own vested interests over that of the sport.

Agree. Especially with Dan at reserve who can clock up the rides. We know Dan rides Leicester well. What we can’t afford to do, is have Brennan strapped up and “giving it a go”. He’s our biggest threat in the middle order, and a struggling Brennan pottering around at the back struggling to hang on for a ride or two COULD ultimately cost us a league title. Every point will count here. He needs to be 100% or pretty damn close to it otherwise go with R/R.

Don’t take my opinions to heart like you’re doing. The problem with your quartet is they aren’t challengers either except for the odd race . Doyle was but his days at the top consistently are behind him. I’d like to see some new faces to freshen it up. Preferably youngsters who won’t be intimidated. Parnitskyi is definitely one . There’s one . And if the reason behind huckenbeck and kvetch are applied, although not ideal , Becker will be one . I agree it’s hard but like in football with promotion and relegation, you’re guaranteed new faces every year . It’s not stale . -

Next season new tyre, harder compound, could wipe out any tuner overnight, Ashley Holloway seems to be the fastest engines at the moment on the world stage, Peter johns seems to be winning at domestic level but the ultimate goal is Kowalski -
Went along to this fully expecting an exciting meeting and the Bears to push the Pirates all the way, somewhat inexplicably neither materialised. I have never witnessed a meeting at the Ecco Arena without a pass in 15 heats after the second bend. For whatever reason it was gate and go and invariably the Pirates were sharper in that department. Congrats to the Pirates who seem to manage to do what is necessary when it counts the most. Sure the Bears will be determined to regroup for the KO Cup meetings.
