The Polish Doctors are magnificent..... Every time they magically cure their riders to be able to ride... Our Doctors obviously need to learn a thing or two.... -

I thought both reserves rode well, this issue is how can Zach ride so well for Belle Vue but not so good at Poole and how can Toby ride well at Kings Lynn and not so well last night. -

Maybe you'd have a different opinion if it was other way round? They use the same scoring as SON so can't moan at the scoring too much -
Sorry, I don't agree. It is a gimmick cooked up by someone to falsify the result, if over two Meetings the score is tied, it is a draw and that's it. How fair is it that one team get the chance to run off for an extra point, on their home track but there is very little chance of the away team getting a win. The scoring system is wrong too. It again contrives a result. The other night the Belle Vue rider won the race giving the Match win to the inferior team by the points value given to second and third. Speedway is all about winning the race NOT finishing second or third. The trouble with Speedway is that it has far too many gimmicks. I reckon that half the reason the crowds are dropping is because of gimmicks. Regarding the 'Play Offs', another gimmick. The team that wins the League then have to win it again through the 'play offs'. How fair is that? It is a nonsense. I have been a Speedway Supporter for 61 years and I believe that most of the changes made over the years made Speedway, on balance, less credible, rather than more credible in the long run. I count myself lucky to have watched Speedway in the 1960's and 1970's. Those were great days for me.

In the rider interviews at the end Will said there was nothing in gate 4 in the later heats - it was bald!. Also I don't quite understand why Poole chose 2&4 in heat 15? -
This ought to be a cracking night in Plymouth. Expecting another big crowd with great weather. Under 16's go free and the best 'Gladiator' fancy dress wins a centre green experience. Plymouth have released an update on Ben Barker today. Nothing is broken, still in severe pain with limited movement and they believe it was a dislocation. He will work closely with Michal Halambiec from B3&Fit with the hope of getting back on the bike for Saturday evening!

No Victor Palovaara for Edinburgh due to illness and they go with R/R. Given the recent performances of both teams this should be fine, but I've got a sneaky suspicion this might be quite a tough fixture. Teams from Edinburgh website: Friday 8th August: Edinburgh Monarchs v Scunthorpe Scorpions (Championship), Armadale, 7:30pm STELLAR MONARCHS: Rider replacement for Victor Palovaara, Paco Castagna (Capt.), Justin Sedgmen, Kye Thomson, Michael Palm Toft, Jonatan Grahn, Jordy Loftus. ELLIE ROSE SCORPIONS: Steve Worrall, Zaine Kennedy, Luke Harrison, Connor Mountain, Jake Allen, Declan Kennedy, Simon Lambert (Capt.)

Wonder which Oxford team will turn, as it's a strange side, wins at Berwick one week, and lose at home against Redcar
