Fun fact: Each of the top five riders in the Tigers team have over an 8 point average* for the season after Nagel's performance last night. *not GSA -

He looked v.fast on Friday tbh -
If the number one of a team gets to ride in heat eight that means the missing rider is the second highest scorer for his team. So no real issue there although a bit of a waste to put a number one in such a relatively (for him) easy race. A much better rule would be that a team must use RR before a guest can be used and where a guest is required (i.e. because two riders are missing) then the guest is used as a substitute for the lower average rider. The RR rule should be adjusted to allow any rider whose average is higher than the missing rider to be used once and twice if the RR is lower than the missing rider.

Were Glasgow just really good or were scunny that bad ?me personally I think the Glasgow riders are just getting the track set up right after a few weeks consistent racing and our reserves together are scoring a lot more than their average, Villads is scoring nearly double his average max last night and the rest are scoring over there ave too ,We seem to have a great team sprit in the pits this year just need to keep this up -

Excellent stuff from Kurtz. New track for him, slow start, pressure of the LCQ and then last gate choice for the final when making the start was crucial. I thought he'd start to fall away slightly towards the end of the series but he's just getting better at the moment. -

Like Luke thought he’d end up riding in that position at the start of the season. Shows how dreadful the rest of the scorpions have been. Once again the good old British speedway “fans” bagging our up and coming talent. -

Of course - easy to forget what day of the week it is Although surely that was Sheffields Lewis Kerr and this time they would be using Pooles Lewis Kerr -
That's the plan

I am sure Will and his family keep him grounded and same applies to Cooper. They are young, keen and eager to do well, just need to keep the pressure off so they develop in their own time.

Prediction of 2025 Championship league
Bojangles replied to Bitza's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Starting to look like a battle between Oxford and Redcar for the last spot. Could all come down to Wednesday's meeting between the two sides, would be a huge boost for the Cheetahs if they take all three points. 1. Glasgow 2. Poole 3. Edinburgh 4. Oxford 5. Redcar 6. Berwick 7. Plymouth 8. Workington 9. Scunthorpe -
I have read that they estimate 500 spectators. This could be a cause for concern on the viability of the new stadium. For those people who have proof that Swindon was previously getting a lot more spectators I would urge you to write to the planning officer Oliver Phippen with evidence and explain how Speedway is a much more viable business (supported with planning policy) in contradiction to the applicant's statement (Swindon Motorsports).

A fit for purpose RR would negate guests... Keep it simple... The rider being can be replaced by the riders above and below twice (if the manager wishes), with a max seven rides each in the meeting... No1 missing? Then any riders can take his place to a max of two of his four rides.. No7 missing? Then a No8 (unattached), comes in and takes two of his rides with the No6 doing the other two... Whatever rider is missing then that is the RR spot... Other riders may get injured in a meeting but that is sport so by all means have an IRR plan to accommodate it... Which includes any rider pulling out missing the next match as a matter of course so as to dissuade any dodgy practice... Ipswich's Tom Brennan making a massive contribution to Leicester winning the KO Cup is nonsense really isn't it? And so many guestfests take place needlessly due to the RR system being so flawed, and are often due to one or other of the teams seeing an opportunity for a few ringers being brought in.. Simply. In 2025 this sport will never be taken seriously by the wider media and public with such a system in place..

Isn't Greg Hancock his advisor/manager, probably on a % cut, so someone will benefit from all the extra meetings, I said earlier on here that I thought he was doing too much too soon, but just wait and see, just hope the next young kid Cooper Rushden, keeps more grounded ?
