All these teams wanting to come back. Which teams?

Surprised at the field, thought Woffy would've used his "celebrity status" to bring some top riders over, especially ones who don't race in GB to boost the crowd?

To be picky it's actually called the Premiership. Lapsed fans may still think of the Premier league as the second tier. Probably not a question for this post, but did they gain anything from naming the leagues after football? Really hope Speedway returns to Arlington, but won't get my hopes up. Be good if a Speedway fan won the lottery / Euromillions.

The meeting the other week against Sheffield was very good, some excellent racing with lots of passing. But most of the riders were having a whinge on both sides that the track was “tricky to ride” and they were struggling a bit with it. Tonight most of the riders were praising the track because it was smooth and easy to ride, but was serving up next to no entertainment to the supporters. Give me the track like it was against Sheffield and tell them to get on with it!

I believe we have had 14 meetings this season. Quite shocking when we used to have nearly 30. What I want to know is with all these defunct teams wanting to come back, where are we getting the riders from? And even if we get riders from abroad, how the hell are most clubs going to pay them on pitiful gates.

In May Rounf 6 Wroclaw beat Torun 53-38 with only Sayfutdinov 11 and Dudek 10 making double figures Lambert scoring 4 (admitedly in far better form now). Kurtz only managed 3(4) for Sparta. As others have said Wroclaw will need to score heavily early or this is likely to be as one sided as the Witches vs Aces meetin in the UK.

It certainly was from the terraces. Really concerning and more importantly where this sport is heading. A sport with no participants surely ceases to be a sport eventually. Please correct me if I am wrong but I believe you said before that something like 90 odd British riders have been lost to the sport in the last decade? If that's the case then that far outweighs anything to do with silverware.

Good to hear Coleman addressing the supporters at the end as well. Again dangling the carrot of things being much better next year and exciting times ahead at Foxhall. He can certainly talk the talk, and he deserves the chance to walk the walk. Grateful that he stepped in personally and gave us speedway again this year.

We've had 1 decent meeting thus year, the rest have been appalling racing wise. Either too grippy or mega slick. Track guy, who does whatever he wants and not what he's told, has got to go pronto. Well done to the Aces as predicted far too strong for the witches.

Can you divulge more ?? As for the result no surprise whatsoever and with the Aces reserves easily outscoring the Witches reserve pairing never in question. I would imagine the Foxhall faithful will only want to see Musielak, Brennan (2nd string) + King returning next season.

If I was Richard Coleman I would be really embarrassed after tonight,not only for teams performance but for the quality of the product on show, it was a tough watch

Tonights the reason when there should be I league in GB next season,while lowering the throughout the Teams you will able to have competitive meetings between Teams of equal standard.Would pay money to watch mismatch meetings for most of the season.

Well looks like Lawson, Zac and Cairns are saving themselves for the match that really matters tomorrow judging from tonights result.

Hopefully if the lights and electric get put in place, should be 7pk starts, so you could see the reds, go to the Waverley for food, then to the speedway 😄🏁

It depends who is listened to. Can have all the ambition and finance in the world but that won’t help you if you’ve no idea how to put a successful team together.

Think Tom is a perfect fit for King's Lynn tbh.

I’ve never thought he was greatly suited to Belle Vue and a track like Ipswich was far better suited to his racing…can’t see Belle Vue really wanting him back to be honest

I think it will be a complete revamp in 27. In 2 minds about Brennan tbh. Not sure on King on a higher average. I personally think we’ll have a big hitter at 1 & someone who’s marketable. After that I think we’ll see a younger set up. Cooper from Lynn anyone?

Yep but the r is for restricted 500 so they are reducing it power out put by reducing the fuel input it's already happening. It's not about reducing the cc to 250 it's about using the abundance of lower cost 500cc engines available In recent times the Speedway Control Bureau members have discussed the for's and against's introducing a new class to the British Youth Championship of the 500cc Restricted Class known as 500R. The 500R is where motorcycles with a 500cc engine use a 27mm carburetor restrictor which reduces the power to the level of a 250cc engine. The main goals for introducing this class is improve safety, lower costs and easier for riders to learn. The 500R engines have more torque at lower RPM's which makes the bike smoother and more stable to ride. Reducing the power with the restrictor does not effect the stability of the bike, ensuring the safe and smooth riding even for beginners. The 500R engine will last longer than a 250cc engine which reduces maintenance and repair costs, and with more 500R available on the market, this makes them cheaper for riders to buy. 500R motorcycles allow riders to move smoothly from Youth to Senior classes, after removing the restrictor, the engine can be used in full 500cc racing. Riders can use the same bike at different stages of their careers, which saves money on new equipment, the diameter of the carburettor can be easily checked by the Machine Examiner. Therefore based on this information and with all of British Speedway trying to introduce more riders at the same time of keeping the cost affordable, for the 2027 season the 500R class will be introduced to the British Youth Championship for riders between the ages of 13 years old to 15 years old. As well as the 500R riders will have a choice to compete in the British Youth Championship in the following classes - 500cc, 250cc, 125cc/150cc
