Plus a fortune in van fuel fees with wear and tear. Sheffield is far enough for a southern based rider to want to travel. My guess is he remains at Oxford but who knows other than Anders? Likeable lad and his dad is salt of the earth lovely chap. Plymouth will be looking for some younger riders this winter.

Nothing wrong with that either. Not saying that is the case here with Cooper, he could well be in that tiny minority who put loyalty and happiness where he is, above money. If that’s the case, then fair play to him. There’ll no doubt be cases out there where riders reject a bigger contract because they’re happy and settled where they are, and have a good relationship with the owner and trust them. But the vast majority will chase the coin.

Now it’s official that Ipswich is to host the 2027 British GP then one has to assume Belle Vue is no longer the ‘ National Stadium ‘ ? Never understood why the National Stadium ( Belle Vue ) has not staged the likes of the Riders Championship Finals ( all 3 divisions ) , Fours final ( when we had them ) U-19 and U-21 finals etc etc but now it is only to stage the British Final ( I assume ? ) then it hardly deserves the title of ‘ National Stadium ‘ with it only hosting a dozen Aces meetings and a British Final.

I know Mario wouldn’t qualify for this, but if we had a team in that league headed by Hodder and Hagon it would have helped them no end.

Comfortably 2,000 imo, probably 2.5, although kids go free of which there is always a lot at Shielfield. No words re last night, great set of fans Plymouth have too, brilliant. Shielfield was electric all night, from the second Morris got announced for 27, to the riders going round on the victory parade, if speedway was like that every week, there would be no problems across the sport.

I know people will say Ipswich is a small track but I can remind you that way back in the early 90s Arena Essex was being mentioned about hosting a Grand Prix, the track was given FIM status at one point (might have been 94) and there was plans to improve the stadium accordingly and then Hackney became a thing and the late Terry Russell went for that option instead, with the newly named London Stadium host a GP round in 1995. Its a shame for Belle Vue because IT IS the best track in the country, What i would have liked to have seen is two rounds back to back on the Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday, one in Manchester and the other in Ipswich, thus giving equal opportunity for fans in both the North and South to see a GP round.

Think I am in the minority regarding Mario. If he is at Ashfield every other week he will do very well(2H 2A is a must). I’d have a punt on him next year. If you start the year with Mario and a Vinnie Foord type at reserve you’ll do ok.

Freddie is fairly popular plus he was injured most of the season so makes me think he'll get one with Bewley and Holder (if Holder is fit for next year). Think it could be between Thomsen and Jakobsen for the last one though knowing how the choices have gone in previous years wouldn't be surprised if Kvech got one.
