  1. Past hour
  2. It could be the way Mayfield wanted it Either way not a big issue imo
  3. Never understood why it took two team managers!
  4. More than likely imo as the GP is now going to smaller venues, Ipswich seem to have the infrastructure for a crowd of around 10k joint venture between Mayfield and stadium owners speedworth, probably a lot of money to be made from catering etc, and the track could sort out some of the throttle jockies
  5. Now Ipswich are announced it must be time to put a Lid on this Northampton stuff...
  6. Today
  7. Would absolutely love to see the continental thottle jockeys racing round Foxhall in anger!
  8. Running in the Championship (Cheetahs) and NDL (Chargers) in 2026 no Premiership side this coming season
  9. Could Ipswich host a GP in the future with Mayfield being the promoter of both the club and series?
  10. Interesting reading that old Reading press release. Reading the “Eleventh” club to come to tapes in the old Elite League. Now down to Five. How sad and demoralising.
  11. Posted 8 months ago by Roy Nicol, he used to do the Belle Vue and Sheffield video coverage, nice to see he's still around 👍🏻
  12. 20 years ago times move on - still think it’s not Chris time to comment in that particular statement.
  13. Almost irreplaceable I’d say. We know that from when someone else has tried valiantly to fill his shoes when he’s been missing for the odd meeting here and there. Henry too is an excellent press officer.
  14. Not a problem - I never worry or get angry at disagreements - for all we know there might be a gaggjng clause in place - it’s clear to me one of the reasons this took longer than many liked was - who - was buying - a big entity who will have not cut corners to get it done quick! Lots of legal and diligence stuff I am sure!
  15. It’s pretty common practice!! Using the link earlier by arnieg https://www.sportcal.com/pressreleases/bsi-announce-acquisition-of-reading-speedway/ There’s a paragraph from outgoing promoter Pat Bliss. It’s pretty standard stuff.
  16. Agree with you. Strange. Crikey they’re all buggering off! Is the track man still there?
  17. New presenter, and new press officer too. BOTH current incumbents will be sorely missed.
  18. Hey! If it ain't broken, don't fix it..... PS (Don't tell your friends how much it is to get in to watch a sport they probably have never heard of, until they have got there!!)...
  19. Nope I’m sorry but we’ll agree to disagree here. I think it’s unusual. As an outgoing owner, and club legend, just a few words thanking a few people and introducing the new owners, get behind them etc. That may well still come at some point but then again, maybe he’s that pi$$ed off that he’s not interested in even doing that now he’s washed his hands of it all! I was expecting something from him in the press release, that’s all I’m saying.
  20. “we need you to tell your friends and family about this great sport and club.” Great idea but I don’t have the heart to tell him about fans reaction to this kind of request. I’m looking forward to some new methods of promotion as the current ones have been done to death.
  21. There isn’t one but some parents and their siblings seem to feel they are being put out of a team spot because of a foreign rider
  22. Agreed this isn’t his moment - why do people not understand a few basics here
  23. Surely that's the way it should be? Despite the frustrations and worry over delays there is one thing that has been in my view a positive and unusual for speedway The transaction has been conducted in a professional and rightful way No one speaking out of turn, blaming another party or getting one up by making comment for selfish gain Hopefully in time Chris will make a further statement to clarify his position and answer some of the questions many people still have Some things may however be better left unsaid
