He's got potential, riding for a Wednesday track at Oxford didn't work. Don't know if Saturday's would be any better. Not a great many options on that average (if they don't go the Cook route) Cameron Heeps? Declan Kennedy? Or Kennedy instead of Bowtell?
-
Fair play to the Ford's they have done it again they have got two of the best UK prospects on false averages, one of the best riders in the league in Lawson, Cook should crack on further and is destined for bigger things, Gilks if he stays injury free should improve. I've never really rated Kerr although he is brave as they come but he's one of these riders who can score 3 -13 on any given night, Bowes I don't know much about but if anyone can get improvement out of him its the Fords. I know they are marmite but they run a tight ship at a profit most years but where they are masters is getting riders in on false averages. It was pretty obvious last year whoever got Cairns in so long as the other six weren't dog awful should win the league. Although I would have loved to have seen him the other teams must be heaving a sigh of relief Bailey isn't riding over here as in my opinion that lad is the best aussie prospect since Darcy Ward I reckon if he came in on four he would have ended up on six or seven at seasons end.

Knudsen is another who doesn't turn up all the time
-
How about a strength in depth team? Jonas Jeppersen - 8.20 Troy Batchelor - 7.10 Tate Zischke - 5.76 Francis Gusts - 5.49 Jonas Knudsen - 5.05 Alfie Bowtell - 4.65 Vinnie Foord - 3.69 Total - 39.94
-
Would be a good signing imo. Didn't like Oxford, but better elsewhere.
-
What about Gusts big track should suit him, if he can be strong armed to turn up most of the time.
-
I think Max Perry is a fair bit better than Sam McGurk was. Actually averaged better away from home, so if he finds a track he prefers to Glasgow, could progress even more? Looking at his Northside scores, he's had 2 good matches at development level, but not rode at Champ level yet, surprisingly.

Well I assume she'd be on a 3.00 ave now the rules have changed?

Let’s just hope the Poole track doesn’t ruin Cooper … best young rider I’ve seen for a long time but isn’t a renowned gater and I can easily see his away average being higher than his home one

Cook or Kemp? What a choice! Looks like people have finally got wise to Kemp. -
All riders need to gate at some point, you cant always come from the back even at a big track like Glasgow.

Just a bit of scrappy maths We will use your listed riders and assume 4x 8 pointers drop and you find 20 new foreigners and avoid having to use new 2 pointers So in your absolute perfect scenario it would enable an increase in team limit from my estimate if 30 to somewhere in the region of 33.5 If you make all the new foreigners 5 instead of 4 you can pretend it's 35 -
Cooper is a different proposition.
-
I'd also be surprised with the Cookie signing, especially with how it ended last time. I wouldn't be against it though as he is a good rider and with Jeppesen and Batch, it makes a decent set of heat leaders. Add to that Zischke and we have a decent 4 out of 5. I wouldn't like Max Perry as I feel like he's another Sam Mcgurk. He won't score many at reserve and probably won't get out the 2 points.

Apparently drew has signed for dagvalgas ( crap spelling) the Latvian team than rides in the polish 2nd tier ? Which can be difficult to get vto, hence no championship speedway for now

Plus Halifax had one of the greats in Kenny Carter before his sad demise and Neil Evitts had no where near the same pulling power. -

Plenty of punks lol -
Good signing getting coops, but imo will struggle at home as Poole is not noted as a track to pass on, young cooper not the best of gaters at present. But is a rider that I would travel a distance to watch as I think he has got great potential, don't spoil that pirates

Has Pickering's average been announced? I make it 11.64 (7.76 x 1.5). -
He was Niklas Holm Jacobsen. Sometimes just called Niklas Holm. 18. Pal of JJ. No idea if he would be a 4 or 5

It is looking like there may have been a fly in the ointment which is a shame if true considering most teams have had their line ups sorted for a while. If the Cookie rumour has legs then I will be surprised past history considered. If there has been backword from a Danish rider and Cookie has signed then the options are limited. Danyon Hume and Max Perry comes in bang on 40 points if my math is correct. Danyon is a trier and Max has scope for improvement.
