Speedway On Tv And The Internet In 2026
krompa replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
In Poland SGP will be live on HBO platform and today there was pretty important news that they will also cover it live on Eurosport 3. I guess it is pretty much the same in UK, as HBO have SGP TV rights and I'm pretty sure they will sell them in some kind of extra package (in Poland it is called HBO Sport with extra subscription). -
I really think you are being unkind with your comments 😂. According to the newbies on this forum and those who post once in a generation, you should embrace the situation and be thankful for what the sport offers in this country because these contributors are so right and the likes of the long suffering followers are so wrong and need to dismissed as not following the rules which these members believe are correct and should not be challenged. In the meantime I will stick with the Polish version as I don’t understand the language and therefore the total boll..cks that may have or is being spoken goes right over my head unlike the UK version which needs no translation and leaves no doubt on where the sport stands in the eyes of a few.

Matt has been promised first refusal IF Beau decides to ride in UK!? Maybe 2027 though..
-
No I think you are right, even when he does feel good to ride he is going to be rusty and months behind other riders which won't help him. Newman will be a stop gap, If I was Matt I would do all I can to get Beau over to UK.

You are ‘flogging a dead horse’ pointing out the obvious and unfortunately the real opportunity to invoke a change came after Covid yet for some unfathomable reason it was a case of ‘as you were’. I am not sure where the sport needs to go to find new impetus but to attract a new audience it needs to embrace technology and start entertaining. It is an exciting form of entertainment that could hit the right notes if marketed but that is probably expecting too much given the governing body. With the cost of living crisis determining the consumer/punter spending it really needs to adapt asap and offer a lot more than a bland format that only diehards appreciate.

To paraphrase the usual answer when you mention Speedway to someone in a town that has their own team.... "Speedway? Is that still starting?"...

I don't think he will ride for Poole this season, never been the same rider since he had a massive crash at Scunthorpe when he was a plymouth rider.

Speedway On Tv And The Internet In 2026

Having resigned myself to no Speedway coverage on TNT Sport in 2026, I decided to email HBO Max a few days ago who now seem to be in control of TNT Sport in the UK. I asked the question as to why there is to be no Speedway coverage this year, despite the fact we were all sold the idea that "TNT Sport was the home of motorcycle sport" Much to my surprise, I received this interesting answer today. "Hello, We have a good news! Several Speedway events will be available on TNT Sport on HBO Max. Follow us on social media for the newest information and premieres. You can also check Speedway events from your HBO Max account: Currently, only replays from the last year are available, but you will be able to see when a new event is coming up. In case of any additional questions, feel free to contact us again" Now I realise this doesn't really tell us anything, but as this reply came directly from HBO Max, I wonder if something is going on behind the scenes that has yet to be finalised? -
I tried to ask some fans about the team but I couldn't find any lol

Redcar didn’t have a guest, they have signed Nicolai Klindt as a replacement until Charles Wright is fully fit and can retake his place in the bears line up.

Do Bellevue stream their meetings? T I A -
Pull the other one.Nothing wrong with giving little back to the sport that gives you a years salary for 5-6 months work .Many are overpaid for how they perform.
-
Zager was terrible most of the time last year.No doubt will be overpaid as usual.
-
With only 8 home league meetings in the Championship and a scattering of others you'll be lucky if many riders break even if they aren't doing both leagues or riding abroad. Riders can't afford to be so charitable anymore.
-
great days the 4's qualifiers all the teams benifited with good crowds
-
Perhaps if the riders weren’t so greedy and rode for sensible money giving that it’s a pre-season warm-up event .It might generate some new supporters giving its local event. still that’s speedway riders these days take the cash and give nothing back.
-
Surely its the annual time of the year when people say Klindt is on a bargain average. As for the name..with H Man links with Reading..how about the Bulldogs ?

Thanks.

Hate to say it - rain forecast for Friday

No not yet, but it won't be long now until he is ripping up the GT Tyres Arena.

I think Tate is one of them confidance riders but with injuries and getting constantly beat up rising for Belle Vue this knocks his form and with Belle Vue can see that continuing this season also unfortunately. Should have just stuck to the championship for a while building his confidance up. On a side note has anyone seen Craig Cook on a speedway bike since he signed ? Seen hin on a mountain bike and a motorcross bike but not a speedway one.

Yes as a precaution, he had a slight knee injury. He has been confirmed as fully fit by Berwick for this weekends meetings.
