  2. Not sure there's a correct answer. Many will be on the fence before suggesting a 1-7!😂 (Sorry, couldn't resist. I hope the Glads get what they need for 2027.)
  3. You have literally just explained why the rider should not have been excluded. If you cross a line, you are going over it, not touching it. The only logical explanation from that quoted rule is that the bike/tyre has to be completely over the line. that's what "crossing the line" means. Take football as an example. If the entire ball is not over the line then the ball is still in play. Same principal. Same with tennis. If the entire ball isn't over the line, it's still in. Congratulations to Poole Pirates on their legitimate title win. This has even less legs than Don King's "long count" invention when Mike Tyson got hammered by Buster Douglas. Anyone else got any other sporting examples to add to the "bad loser" file?
  4. Might as well jump on the bandwagon. Had rather hoped we might be able to persuade Morris up the road but that’s not to be. Time for Paco to move on although I think on his average he’ll be retained. Keep: Kye, Jordy, Mitch Lose: Dan, Paco Not bothered either way: Grahn, Sedgy Bring in: Victor P
  5. My general question is: Why is it always Poole at the centre of any cheating? Surely enough is enough now or are the rule makers being swayed by something??
  6. That's just your interpretation. You are saying that touching the white line ( inner edge) equates to crossing the inner edge. I think you could equally interpret that regulation as crossing requiring the machine to be completely beyond the inner edge. And, on either situation, the regulations do not make clear which part of the wheel ( or tyre) has to cross the inner edge. Commonly we interpret that as the part of the tyre in touch with the ground, but the regulation doesn't actually say that. Another regulation that any competent lawyer would drive a coach and horses through.

  8. If the points limit stays the same, what do we think Plymouth line up will be??

  10. As I've already said before, Terrestrial TV as highlights is perfect as it can cut out all the bad stuff of a live meeting, in the hope that a drip feed of floating spectators will go to a live meeting now & again. For now, stick with BSN for the already converted. Personally, I'd much rather British Speedway moved to YouTube. That way, you can have Live shows, call ins, interviews, Q&A's etc. Then have 3 Live meetings every week, from each league, all on the members only. That way, it's all in one place & there can be something for everyone.
  11. Both had decent meetings and came through unscathed, I bet a few Bandits fans are breathing a sigh of relief tonight!
  12. My guess will be a ITV4 highlights deal, so very little money in that, these days apart from football the rest of sports on various platforms are having money reduced. Remember speedway only attracts a thousand or so fans to every meeting, so empty stadiums won't look good on a live broadcast
  13. Shortly before his death, Osborne moved Poole Stadium LTD from Gaming International to what was his over-arching company Toklon. So the Poole element is out of the way of the Receiver.
  14. Would've like to see an Aussie (Douglas) or a Yank (Becker) on the list, solely because they one less opportunity, not being in the SEC.
  15. I’m going to be as plain as I can be and try to be as unbiased as possible rule 012.1.11 a ride whose machine crosses the inner edge of the track with 2 wheels must be disqualified. 05.1.4 infield a) a continuous line to define the inner edge of the track circuit. now nowhere in the rule book does it say about crossing the white line with 100% of the wheel, ok that’s fact also the white line is the infield (as confirmed by the SCB )so if at any point the rear tyre touches it then that is a disqualification. the inner edge of the track is where the track meets the white line, so anyone who has stated he was on the line has backed my argument.
  16. Per the Regs All APD's used in British Speedway must have been previously and/or currently Homologated by the FIM. Replacement Inflatable APD's must be Grade A+. Inflatable APD’s must be inspected 7 years after installation, thereafter annually by the SCB Track Inspectors, to certify that it remains fit for purpose up to a maximum of 10 years. Non-inflatable APD’s will be inspected during the 3 yearly Homologation inspection
  17. According to the regulations 'where provided the Referee must use multi angle re-play technology supplied by Eurosport, BSN and the tracks own streaming service via a monitor'
  18. Saving himself for belle Vue 😄
  19. Tonight, Jordy Loftus beat him to seal the win for Edinburgh. Last week, he was the only Glasgow rider Jacob Hook managed to beat. He’s incapable of passing an opposing rider (unless it’s the showboating Castagna) which is quite remarkable for a rider whose home track is Ashfield. The gulf between his performance in the Ben Fund and what he’s delivered is night and day. i feel suggesting he’d be more comfortable in a role (#2) traditionally considered lesser than the one he’s in (#4) emphasises my point. Add to that, foreign riders are expensive, so the costs associated with signing them must be justified.
  20. Excellent news. More than happy to have Kye start as no.1 next season. He’s been absolutely superb this season.
  21. I wouldn’t be so sure on that as if Lambert does ride in the UK and is looking more likely now since becoming world champion. He will be at a track that is decided as in the best interests of British Speedway for him to be at as the he will be paid a supplement to ride in the UK by BSPL on top of what the club agrees as their No1
  22. It might also depend on any conditions that the Council include or have included in the lease?
  23. Don't agree about KJP and feel he would do ok riding at number two.
  24. Well done Edinburgh on running a very prompt meeting on a cold wet night.
