Couldn’t disagree with you more. All about opinions isn’t it.

Dammed if he does, dammed if he doesn’t. Frankly the most appropriate statement would/should be “No further updates will be issued until there is something in place to report”. Until that point. No news is indeed….no news.

Oxford Spires 2026 ?

Not sure you understand the point of a forum -
A lot of the nasty comments comes from other fans or people that are not fans just stirrers.

Well done Poole have more pages than plymouth! Most people wouldn't see that as a win especially when you read the content.
-
It is comparing a a WTCQ and two GP's though... To hold a GP can cost the organiser well over £100k which is paid to the rights holders.. And then flights and hotels for FIM people and riders... At circa 7000 capacity you will need to charge some big numbers to make any money after that considerable outlay... It will be interesting to see if after last years "novelty" of being the first GP at the NSS, whether demand will be the same this year...

Oxford Spires 2026 ?
poole keith replied to old bob at herne bay's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
We all know the situation but if Poole lost their track there would be no point in discussing on here a new track at a secret location, with opposition and no hope of a planning application, need more positivity -
Agree with you hence my comment
-
It's a rough situation, his official average is 6.74. Pretty much a heatleader figure for most teams next season. If you was the Sheffield management, you'd have to be bonkers not to take advantage, would you not??
-
This should be good. Tell us all why fans shouldn't be cynical about British Speedway?? Ya know, the British Speedway that has constant track closures, supporters not returning year on year, excessive admission increases for a weak product. A league that, as of right now, has 4 teams. I await the answer to what the whole of the British public is missing out on!?!

So it'll have to be delayed for a further week, but if they do, nobody will know of course
-
I do. Why do you have to be so rude about a Poole director, promoter and owner on a Poole thread? Give Clive some credit for keeping Poole’s name at the forefront. One of the reasons why this thread now runs to 71 pages. How many are there for Plymouth?

Sheffield Tigers 2026

There needs to be some protection in place to cover this situation If a change is made it should be the reduced average that is available -
First SWC event at Lynn 2010, last one in 2015. I think the Hamill comeback one was 2012 but he didn't ride at Lynn.
-
Cynical about everything to do with speedway it seems
-
No doubt he is,but surely it's personal to friends and family.
-
Do agree but he is a lovely little fella
-
Can't see it personally. Made Owlerton his own last season, think at 2 he'll still prove to be a real trump card at home. On the road may be a different story.

Oxford Spires 2026 ?

If people don't think about expanding speedway or building new tracks to replace closed down tracks, the sport will die even faster than them in charge are doing now. Remember Poole dispite bringing in the fans has Osborne behind the scene, so you could be without a stadium anytime. Property money talks better than speedway money -
I think you’re talking about three decades ago, not one and the £200 quoted was for two nights in the best seats. Having said that, prices for all entertainments have risen far faster than inflation, partly due to increased performer payments.
-
Will be interesting to see if he can handle the main birth of the team. Call me cynical, I'm thinking this will be a short term signing as I'm convinced Sheffield will take advantage of his 25% reduction. Come first set of greensheets, they'll look for a 6.00+ rider.

Leon Flint re-joins Sheffield for the 2026 season.
-
Or we could call it the borefest four.
-
Seriously do you think anyone really needs to know this, absolutely nothing to do with speedway just you kissing the promotions arse again.
