I thought Tate looked quite good in Aus over the winter so I'd expect him to get good results in the UK this year.
-
I'm sure that Connor or his family will update the world when they are ready.

Any news on connor ?

Some shocking posts about Tate and using him to have a weak pop at the club as a whole lacks class. This lad was showing bags of promise before his awful crash, a crash that saw his bike dismantled whilst he was still impaled on it. There’s a few posters on here who delight in sticking the knife in with comments like “sick note” and “turd” for riders still working through the after effects for racing injuries. It’s a special kind of scum that gets their kicks that way.

Harsh? Maybe, but he's had 3 matches, 12 rides and scored 3+1 where every point scored was as a result of an exclusion or faller. If he was on the pace, competing, you'd have to say yeah give him more time, but he's been a mile behind and nowhere near being competitive, I mean at Poole he was 1/4 of a lap behind after the first lap in the reserves race, and even at Plymouth he's been tailed off a long way. It would be harsh, but the best teams make tough decisions no matter how early on and while the spare points are there, we should be all over a stronger number 7 especially with this new Slovenian lad who is unlikely to produce the kind of points Tobias would have got us (at least early on). Trigger isn't pulling up trees but he'd definitely be a better option at this stage imo. We've 3 cup matches this week and assuming we don't make a change prior to those, if Spencer doesn't at least get competitive he's got to be gone before the league action starts.

As you well know there is scientific reasoning behind most things 😃 Finally getting my early spuds and onions in this week, you doing owt? , thought not 🤣 Speaking about lawnmower's. I got the old faithful out yesterday for the first cut and it wouldn't keep running for more than a few seconds 😩. I usually drain the petrol out of it following the last cut but didn't this winter . I took the air filter out to give it a wash, it was just disintegrating and wet with petrol. The old Honda 425HRB has been in the family a long time, I paid good money to get it serviced a couple of years ago, looks like they never changed the air filter though. Going to service it myself if I can get the parts so you will have to cut the centre green, it will finally be dry enough sometime this week considering the dry forecast, I'll tell Andrew your booked in 🤣 -
That Northampton team is shocking. I read a few weeks back in the Star that they’ll need to keep an eye on performances and if need be, the other promotions may need to help them out. Well they need it already before a wheel is turned because this team is going to struggle winning a meeting at home let alone away!

Or, perhaps clubs abroad already know what we don’t and he’s lost whatever early promise he showed early on in his career? Was it solely the suspension that put clubs off or was it something else? We’re about to find out I guess. -
I’m still waiting to see this gung ho swashbuckling rider who scrapes the boards and stretches the throttle cable attempting to get around riders (his own words). The first couple of meetings all I’ve seen is an inside/mid track steady Eddie who looks content to hold the place he’s occupying. Now before anyone jumps on my back, of course it’s only two meetings in and he’s feeling his way in to British Speedway and getting used to things, but I’ll admit I was expecting a different style to what I’ve seen in the first couple of meetings. Perhaps today is the day? The wide open spaces of the NSS should suit him down to the ground.

At the end of the day we only need a reserve that doesn't mean the best you can hope for in a heat is 3-3

Completely out of character for him, he’ll soon revert to type. And to think the bastions of British Speedway that only ever do things for the greater good of the sport, riders, and other clubs while disregarding their own ambitions and aspirations to do well, sacked a young British rider for this clown. -
