  1. Past hour
  2. No he isn't, his average for his meetings this season is well down on his rolling average.
  3. Going off the posts on social media yesterday and last night it seems the poor fella is going through quite a tough time.
  4. Don’t think in that moment he saw Picko clearing off to join Jack he thought I’ll let Zach get another few quid. think it was a mix of frustration and accepting defeat
  5. Be interesting to see if Cook is named in the line up for the weekend
  6. Update from Stoney & Nick on yesterdays visit to Belle Vue & Sheffield: Back from a busy day promoting the trip but have also proper enjoyed it. Started off at Belle Vue Speedway for the 12pm start then over to Sheffield Speedway for the evening meeting via home for a cold shower. Shes been a warm one. We left Sheffield early because the car developed a missfire over Woodhead Road on the way there again. I didnt fancy breaking down on that road in the dark on way home. We will get her sorted hopefully before we leave. Our thanks go to the management of both clubs for acknowledging and hosting us today and the many generous supporters that helped fill a bucket in aid of a great cause of the Speedway Riders Benevolent Fund. To the many people who have already previously donated into our gofundme we thank you and are grateful for all your contributions. Any one who donates £100, automaticlay gets a sticker on the car. We would love it to look like a patchwork quilt. Put your name or send a company logo to our email. srbfnice@gmail.com Please share far and wide so we can all help make a difference together. Cheers, Stoney & NTL x https://www.gofundme.com/.../speedway-riders.../fb/o...
  7. No doubt a few of um or even most if um are on a guarantee, don't matter if they score 3 or 13.
  8. Woffy is a very determined character and speedway is like drug to him. Whilst I agree that it’s his choice when he decides to quit but that of course is on the assumption that there are teams out there willing to take a risk on him and are prepared to offer the payment he would demand.
  9. Genuine question for the Belle Vue fans - what are your thoughts on Kurtz shutting down on the last lap of heat 15 ? My initial thought was that he had just spat his dummy out as he had his backside handed to him on a plate and didn't like it, but I have seen a suggestion that he did it to allow Cook to take the extra point. If it was the latter, then is it just more evidence that the top riders are really just racing for pocket money over here ?
  10. Today
  11. Think Poole will win this around 55-35 tomorrow,RR for Bowes makes us a lot stronger as long as the reserves score how they have been then can we this fixture not posing much threat.
  12. Expecting a battling and thrilling meeting on a superbly prepared water saturated track against our rivals for the title. Glasgow come as one of the favourites for winning the championship and are stacked with quality riders. Harris loves the wide open spaces of Wimborne Road and as always is a real threat. Howarth is always very quick. Hagon is a top youngster and had a year at Poole. Smith has done many laps around here and Harrison is a battler. Flint can score a few. And then I woke up. 57-33. Dust from heat 3 regardless of track prep. 35c tomorrow.
  13. Exactly! They do it for their own entertainment. Plenty of Grass Track ,MotoX, Flat Track, Enduro riders race without any chance of earning a living out of it. Most do it for the "buzz" or adrenaline rush.
  14. I agree 100% his choice IMO he will never quite be the rider he was .
  15. That's good to know. Just another 95,000, and whitelinehugger will have to retire too.
  16. Nope. If 100,000 people say it online, he has retire. He has no choice.
  17. Individual Speedway Championship of Ukraine. Round I. Rivne. May 24, 2026. https://gorka-speedway.blogspot.com/2026/05/140-250-500-24-2026-1600.html
  18. Lots of people on the socials saying he needs to call it a day, surely that is his decision to make?
  19. Well for me getting old doesn't stop me doing the things I've always done, but.......doing it two days on the trot may well be an issue. Maybe Harris should focus on fewer events, and so get better results?
  20. He probably has a high pain threshold. Physically and mentally different gravy from the standard human. Bless his cotton socks
  21. New averages don't take effect until June 1 so no change to our riding order.
  22. With the latest averages will Howarth be at number 1 and Hagon at number 2 tomorrow? Not sure what's happening with Chris Harris at the moment, he is still an excellent rider but maybe age is starting to creep up on him a lot faster than it did with say Scott Nicholls. Maybe at the age Chris is at fitness comes into it a lot, idk. Hopefully, it's just a blip though.
  23. But what happens if a RS arrives at a meeting and is taken ill or gets injured while unloading the van ?
