We hear this every season about these riders that will be available next season on a”bargain average”.Not many come to fruition though the next season.IMO

Well he’s accompanied by the promoter at virtually all meetings home and away so they must believe in him.

All the ingredients for a classic this one. -
Something gives me the feeling that we won't be getting near 45 points at NSS again if we return for the play offs, and then it will all rely on Foxhall and depending on the difference, it could be a chaotic meeting.

Are you actually reading the whole point of my posts or just choosing to ignore it? I don't care if you like or dislike Ukraine, everyone has a choice. The point is this... Ukraine don't get blocked from speedway but Russia does, but both are equally involved in the politics. Me personally, I believe Russia and Ukraine riders should be in any sport... because politics doesn't have a place in sport, IMO. If it did, then surely Bewley and Lambert should be out of the GP as God knows we love to stick our noses into every 'war' along with USA that goes. -

Problems with SGP

It wasn't IMG/BSI who took the financial risk going to New Zealand and the 2002 Australian GP, but the local promoters as far as I remember. How did the GP actually benefit the sport in these countries? I didn't see any particularly increased media coverage, nor any evidence of increased domestic audiences - then or now. I seem to remember the attendances - at least for some of the Antipodean GPs - were relatively decent but nowhere near enough to make the events viable in the stadiums they were being held in. I think part of the problem was that after the initial novelty wore off, the crowds never picked up... -

Busy night for Kildemand then. -
Think he lost a load of weight when he was at Edinburgh and was going well for them then got injured. Shame really as mentioned he came over and showed up really well for Mildenhall.

We failed badly as a team getting beat by Lynn in the cup semi, that’s why I am personally not feeling over confident. -

Anders Thomsen has officially signed his new contract for Stal Gorzów 2026. The announcement will take place after the play down match on 31st August, Stal have also dropped the match ticket for the play down to the lowest cost from any Ekstraliga liga 2025 match at 40złoty = £8. Anders contract doesn’t have a relegation clause unlike the one J.Holder has signed. The contract is worth roughly 1 million zloty and 10,000 per point, this is less than this season. Anders wanted more but other clubs were not interested in him when he offered his services so Stal took this as an opportunity to negotiate lower although with their original short list failing of Pawlicki and Drabik they needed to secure someone and Anders has vastly improved this season.

just because the Polish dislike the Ukrainians doesnt give everyone free rein to also dislike them, its not like Poland has always taken the moral high ground in political matters. -

Speedway riders choose to call themselves professional nowadays because they have made no time through doubling up etc ,Also choosing to ride abroad . This means they can't hold down normal jobs. Back in the day when Speedway was a million times better, most riders had jobs and Speedway was their payed hobby. It's got way out of hand that even these ndl and lower standard even call themselves professional aswell. -
Remember if you want to watch this one live it’s on LionsTV - sign in and the cost is £12.99

You read all of that and your only take from it was the two houses 🤦🏼 the point is Ukraine people and their government are just as bad as Russia… yet they get a free pass into speedway with no issue. Poland is the Meca of speedway let’s be honest and Polish people hate Ukrainians… why does the rest of the world not see how they really are?
