So Belle Vue have lost twice on aggregate to Sheffield and twice on aggregate to Ipswich …. Yet it’s trolling to point that out … strange analogy Belle Vue and Sheffield out of the 4 teams in the plays are the two who could thump anyone at home by 20 plus points easily …. The trouble is that they are the worse 2 teams away from home so if they do only win their home leg by 10-12 points they will lose by more away from home Ipswich could easily choke and so could Leicester but for anyone to disagree that it’s likely a Leicester v Ipswich final is crazy
-
Ellis at reserve potentially makes Ipswich a bit stronger. Sheffield weaker or the same IMO.
-
Just gotta see who is in for Max now. If this leg was taking place in September they could have got Ritchings!
-
Wondered how long it would be before he came on lol
-
Green sheets out for September. As expected Adam Ellis drops to reserve for Ipswich and Anders Rowe for Sheffield https://britishspeedway.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/p25_issue_24.pdf

Birmingham v Leicester Mon 25th August PL2
Col replied to Brummies_Ste's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Easy win for Lions I suspect. Sad night for West Midlands Speedway, likely to be the regions final meeting. Don't forget your sunglasses & caps, it was bad at NSS earlier it's always bad at PB. Gonna be squinty. -
Well here we are barely at the end of august and the speedway season for many clubs is over ..........due to the "p.offs." Tonight's meeting Oxford College boys vs Kings Lynn stars is being billed as a "nothing fixture" just because they aren't in the "p.offs" The entire season is meaningless unless you reach the "p.offs" There really ought to be some better way of getting the TV luvvies their "TV trophy " meetings without runing the season for the majority of clubs who have not qualified for the "p.offs."

Will there be anyone to race against?

Not the best meeting I've seen at NSS in terms of racing but with a full crowd the atmosphere was very good. Bonus point might have been up for grabs had Mulford not hindered Blodorn for two laps in heat 8. Kept getting Morris & Pickering mixed up, which one scared Zischke out of a point in heat 6 or 7?

Wimbledon Dons...back from the dead?!!

Any updates guys on the Coventry and Wimbledon projects? Thanks. -
If rumours are correct,Premiership

No guarantee Fraser will go as well this time around although the Tigers will be hoping he does. Personally I would like to see him do well again, he seems a dedicated young man.

IF Aces got Sheffield in playoffs and took and 18 point lead away id fancy us to defend it.

Great advert for speedway that today. Massive Crowd, great atmosphere great Home win, some fantastic racing, great weather. I thought the track prep and the work they did during in the meeting to keep the dust down was top class, they also managed the time between races really well. Even the queues for food and drink moved quickly today. The presentation of the meeting was first class, the big screen now with audio really adds to the show. Belle Vue would made some good well deserved money today and sent the crowd home very happy. A great day all round.

Very lucky to get bonus point. Only positive I can take from that is averages dropped for next season 🙃 -

There's no denying BV are really good at home. Unless they start to keep teams to within 10 away then can't see anyone that worried tbh. -
Bowes is so good at Poole, he'll prob end up team riding bomber around!
-
No.... Just running scared... The Ipswich "Devon Loch" Witches usually find a way to blow it.... I can see Hawkins doing a Kevin Keegan style meltdown when the pressure is on.. Not sure who I love to watch more when the TV zooms in when they are losing... Him or Stead....

Decent meeting, great result. A result we would be very happy with in play offs. in front of a huge crowd to. Probably the biggest none play off/ craven crowd I’ve seen for a long time. -
