Jack Holder certainly made up for his poor showing in the away leg he was flying. Heat 15 Kurtz made a great move out of bend 2 but Jack and Picko were just too fast great cutbacks to pass him. Kye Thomsen looks a top rider he’s one to watch was a great guest booking for BV, Sedgmen on the other hand looked woeful Freddy Hodder would have beaten him second half of meeting if they lined up. fair play to track staff after 2 heats recognised the track wasn’t right the extra water helped massively -

Remarkable that we took the bonus to a last heat decider given the cards we’ve been dealt. Whilst the 3 & 5 positions were never going to match the 19 points we got there last time, only 6 points didn’t help the cause. Having a number 1 (world number 2) averaging 5 from his 8 rides is unacceptable. I didn’t see either meeting yesterday as whilst the need for top stars is berated on here, the loss of Dan, who is worth the admission alone in my eyes has dampened my desire to attend. I’m sure it will pass by the time The Aces next take to the track v Leicester. -
Laurence Rogers has been about speedway long enough to get a grip on these things before they happen.

He is one of the all time greats of the sport no one can deny that ,if he was 25yrs old then I could understand his mindset of carrying on but IMO he will never be the rider he was .

As a new venture a learning curve is always undertaken. Things can and will go wrong . So far this season all of the things that have gone wrong , are all miner things that will be looked into I'm sure.

Maybe but not intentionally anyway. The major difference even from a decade ago is an awful lot are not on their footrests, it's their flailing legs that makes them look busy on the bike. Many argue they can react better to direction change off the footrest & it's easier to get off the machine if it lifts. As been mentioned before, a lower Horse Power, lower RPM, increased Torque would see riders more controlled & back on their footrests. The issue for me (especially in Poland) is that Zmarzlik has become the Poster-Boy for that 'Wild Style' and riders of significantly lower ability think they can do the same without mastering the basics.

They do NOT take risks for our entertainment. They have a job to do, which is racing motorcycles. Which is dangerous. The better they do, the more they get paid, and therefore, they take risks. It has nothing to do with entertaining us.

They are getting good gaurenteed money for just turning up though, they don’t have try a leg if they can’t be bothered it’s just very good pocket money.Probably pays their Mechanics and Tuners wages for the season. -
Looking at the rolling averages, Howarth will be at reserve next month. He’s not actually riding badly but Kemp has made such a great start to the season. Kyle will hopefully fill his boots at No.6. I can see Morris having stint in that berth as well before too long.

But surely Glasgow are better than that? I think they are owed a big performance but to be honest I'm not expecting it to be on Wednesday. In fact I'm not really expecting them to be in the play-offs this year, Edinburgh and Plymouth look more dangerous to me, the question is who will be the fourth team? Verdict for Wednesday is Poole 50+.

Are you happy with 8 from 6 rides from your number one and world number 2? You have lost Bewley which is huge. At home you can almost cover him with Lidsey and maybe Fricke guesting though they obviously can’t replace Dan If you aren’t winning big at home without Bewley then there is pressure to step up away from home …..especially from Kurtz he needs to go to the other tracks have 5 rides and get 12 or 13 If he can and Zach Cook and Tate keep performing the way are then you can get bonus points … which you didn’t get tonight because Sedgeman and Brady didn’t do there jobs … 1 point from Sedgeman and 4 from Brady when he run 3 last places would have seen you get the bonus point Of course without Dan it will always be tough so yes 8 from 6 from Brady is not good enough -

Not quite the same... You don't have 12,000 screaming fans on your back if you lose, and also don't get the defining races, some of which you may have lost, being shown on the national news' sports round up... -

Comfortable for Sheffield with no Bewley Kurtz needs to step it up away from home or Belle Vue will again be losing many away matches
