  2. Why would anyone link it to taking drugs???.. His baby needed looking after and he had to do it due to nobody else being available... A very common occurance when I worked, several times myself I had to do it, and I went in work later once I had found someone to look after my kids.. Hard to go in later if there isn't the opportunity to do so.... These lads simply ride Speedway to earn money, it isn't some kind of emotional tie in for them, eg Kyle Howarth said he didn't miss not riding in the Final of one of only two competitions when he stopped riding before the second leg... Some people seem to take UK Speedway very seriously, which baffles me...

  4. 'I am not on drugs. I honestly cannot believe how horrible some people can be to assume that an absence is due to something like that. First of all, I have a baby, this means I now choose to prioritise my child over speedway and for that matter over anything. On this occasion of absence, my wife has damaged some nerves in her neck and cannot use her hand and arm properly, she received treatment and we tried to get someone to come to help her with Rio for the day. The treatment has not yet helped and we were unable to get anyone to help out. Therefore! I chose to stay at home and look after both my wife and child. I prefer to keep these things on a need to know basis but that just seems to let people run with their imaginations. This year has really shown me how horrible some people can be.'
  5. Is this meeting on a temporary track, or have Warsaw now got a permanent speedway track?
  6. Yesterday
  7. Can someone explain to me how Ipswich got the rider rep facility for Lawson tonight as he was not injured or unwell? it seems he chose not to ride as he was prioritising the health snd wellbeing of his family ( no criticism from me on that score). i am assuming that it has been classified as withholding his services thus, the club get the faculty . If that is the case then does that mean Lawson now gets an automatic 28 day ban ? not trying to point score against either Lawson or Ipswich, just asking a question and seeking a clarification
  8. How much is it to get a nanny in UK this days?
  9. For 2027, and with more time to prepare I team I do expect to see a proper number one at least. Josh Pickering I believe will step up into the no.1 spot somewhere and I believe Bomber will end up ticking off another team to ride for especially with it being local to him. Without thinking of averages, I’d like to see something like: 1. Josh Pickering 2. Kye Thomson 3. Niels Kristian Iversen 4. Chris Harris 5. Maciej Janowski 6. William Cairns 7. Luke Harrison
  10. To be fair the top division has always been a bit like that - in the great days of the 80s you had Cradley, Coventry Wolves in the midlands and then Reading Oxford and Swindon along the M4 etc so that was 6 of the what 12 teams in the top division. There was a northern band that comprised Bradford Sheffield and BV! and maybe an EA band that was Ipswich and Kings Lynn. The most northerly based top tier team I can recall was Berwick when Terry Lindon took them over and we all know what happened there.
  11. As a fan I've been to Foxhall 4 times now in 2026 and i have only seen 2 sides - my next visit is Aug 20th when It's Leicester which means I will still have only seen 2 sides! Due to holidays etc its likely to be my last visit for 2026! in any other sport I would have expected to see 5 different sides.
  12. One thing (maybe the only thing) the current Premiership has in it's favour is travel. It's very 'Middle England'. There's no travelling to Glasgow - Edinburgh all the way down to Poole - Plymouth. Do remember Buster mentioning this as having a substantial savings on costs to the club as to whether it's best being a Premiership or Championship team.
  13. I'd be adding Adam to the 2027 Ipswich riders list!! I knew he would be good as he rides Foxhall well and he was very on it tonight - the best race of the night was heat 11 Tobi tried everything and almost got past a couple of times but it nice to see Adam come round for a well received lap of honour after his heat 15 win. I'd be happy to see you back at Foxhall in 2027!!
  14. Dream debit for Ellis, but Northampton fans could be thinking "if we can't win, when Ellis scores 20" how many matches will we win?
  15. Brilliant shout based on tonight's match 👏
  16. Regardless (i don't disagree) but Lawson won't be at Ipswich in 2027 not so sure about the next match!
  17. 1. Anyone know who the 3 changes would be? 2. Far too easy to say replace Lawson with Ellis AFTER he's bagged 20 points from 21, bit like saying i would have chosen those winning euro million numbers, after you'd seen the draw
  18. 🏘️🏘️🏘️ = 💰💰💰💰💰 Comes as no great surprise once the gates closed on the speedway team and the venue become a one sport stadium, that the next step would be property development or planning permission. Such a shame as the speedway track has great memories for my family and kids BUT since Ian Jordan left the Eagles high and dry this was inevitable just a case of when. Dugard Corner , Norris Way , Kennett Court, Richardson Road.
  19. Any word on Picko? Nasty looking spill that I was surprised he walked away from.
  20. Lawson must go. 1. Turns up late, dirty bikes and ill prepared. 2. Never does the parade 3. Creates a bad atmosphere in the pits 4. Drives to Leicester, calls in sick half way, when asked by management to attend the track for a doctor’s note and to make IRR available, he refuses and drives home. The next day he rides in Denmark. 5. Calls in at 17:50 to tell the management he isn’t turning up, the riders and management at this point have had enough of him. This guy also got sacked by his Polish club this season. Goodbye and Good riddance.
  21. Lindgren to Grudziadz according to Sportowefakty. Fricke to depart for Bydgoszcz apparently.
  22. Yup an explanation that per the rulebook means a 7 day suspension
  23. Everyone knows full well that what you see is what you get with Richard. You know that he's a moody bloke and you know he'll turn up with dirty bikes sometimes. Richard will score you points on a consistent basis but he will also bring a lot of baggage with him in the process hence why he's not everyone's cup of tea. As far as I'm concerned the entire blame lies with Mayfield and Paul Hurry who've allowed these situations with Richard to keep happening whilst doing nothing about it when they've had opportunites in the palm of their hands. 1st Opportunity -> Jason Doyle in a Triple Team Change (Was an always an easy three riders to release) 2nd Opportunity -> Adam Ellis in a straight swap (No brainer as proven by Adam's score tonight) Two title winning Witches, Two Golden opportunites, Two pieces of failure to act when the vast majority of the fan base have made their feelings crystal clear.
  24. Sorry are you a Poole fan by any chance Might be fine for your club but at Ipswich we don’t take kindly to riders who aren’t team men and take the p…. Just saying
  25. Maybe a 7 day ban coming 🤔 missing another meeting at short notice,
