  1. Past hour
  2. From what have heard it’s a bit more than a straightforward broken arm that was quite a mess and will take quite a bit of sorting out. Delay in surgery is waiting for the specialist to arrive from another area of Poland
  3. Operation happening today, nobody can really say how long but likely if he does come back it will strictly be around the play off / play down period, and with holder out I would say it’s now play down for Stal. Other bad news is Bednar crashing on Saturday in another meeting and missing the next few matches for Stal.
  4. Is Paul Bowen still involved with these bikes ? Before all the dinosaurs rear up they won’t be replacing the traditional engine. If any riders can now access tracks to practice seven days a week without causing any noise it can only be a good thing very interesting to note that the BSPL have not put anything about the forthcoming announcement on their website. Again.
  5. Was pulling wheelies on a mountain bike on Friday. I think he’ll be back on the shale quicker than most of us thought he would.
  6. I guess the person with the biggest smile was at cleator moor yesterday
  7. Nasty crash with Doyle and Holder. Doyle was clearly in serious pain walking back to the pits and should have had immediate medical attention on the track. Being tough as nails doesn’t cure injury any faster and he could have put back his recovery weeks. Rotten luck for Holder. Season ending by the sound of it. Get well soon to both men.
  8. The rider doesnt dictate how long rides for a club. Was more the point i was getting at.
  9. On defence of MPT, what do you expect from a 6 point rider racing in the difficult number 5 position? You can't magically declare he should be an 8 point rider, just because he's the second heat leader. I'm sure Scunthorpe & MPT hoped for a little improvement, rather than holding his average, but what 6 point rider is gonna come in & score points as their back up to Pickering? If a heat leader was available, should've signed him after Pickering's average dropped and before Ingram's average rose. So blame the management for not having a second heat leader, rather than a "second string" having to ride "out of position".
  10. 'Dont hate the player, hate the game' Professional Sport and that
  11. I would say "in hindsight bad decision to drop Jenkins for Lambert" You mention Lambert scoring 13 points in 4 meetings, but Jenkins scored 7 points in his last 4 meetings before being dropped! Could Redcar fans more more annoyed at the rider saying "why didn't you do that for us" rather than at the management for replacing him?
  12. Need to be honest here, Jenkins was having a terrible time at Redcar averaging 3.52 (4.48). For a rider signed on a 6+ average, even Jenkins's biggest fans would have to admit it was a disastrous start to the season. Had he been showing his Berwick form, he'd be a heat leader & not dropped. There was always a chance he would find form at reserve, but he wouldn't have dropped down in June, could Redcar afford to wait another month? I wouldn't have preferred Lambert to Jenkins pre-season, but at the time of the change can understand the move. I don't think Lambert is scoring any less for Redcar than Jenkins was.
  13. Not a fan but that's tough as he was in the chase do hope he heals quickly
  14. That’s correct. Deane wood had done a deal with the owners many years ago for a multi million sum which was accepted only for them to go back and try and get a higher sum. The deal collapsed and they remain owners
  15. Any news on Holder /Doyle just think that maybe Doyle should stick to league racing he could go no for a few years IMO his GP days are behind him .
  16. I'll give credit to Kemp for trying to further his career, leaving the Champ to try & make it in Poland / Latvia. His return also shows there's a safety net, any heat leader who leaves the Champ, will almost certainly find a team spot when they want to return due to lack of heat leaders.
  17. Agree, but changing the rules does not help. They keep messing with averages.
  18. Today
  19. Sometimes it is maybe a good thing that the sport gets so little coverage, as that would always bring much greater scrutiny... And, not sure it would stand up to too much of that....
  20. There will never be anyone better from the back than Henka in his Lynn spell 1990-93 and nobody will ever convince me otherwise!
