  1. Past hour
  2. Cosmic. Could they insert their No1 into the home meetings?
  3. Lowest No 5 Averaged rider in the league. Oxfords 2nd heat leader with an average of 5.04. Yet Schroeck for the life of me usually gives him his 4 rides. Yesterday at Glasgow he scored 2 pts in his 1st ride. Then had 3 lasts yet he still got 4 rides!! Today was a prime example. He scored 5 from 4 rides yet Schroeck puts him in heat 15 ahead of Luke Killeen 11-1, Mitch McDiarmid 8 and Jorden Jenkins 7-1. Schroeck really is the biggest clown in the sport. How do people employ him?
  4. Believe for a number of heats which produced a Workington rider winning, times from a stopwatch had to be used.
  5. Today
  6. Good win by the bears just hope we can do well and get in the playoffs.
  7. Make it interesting, book Vinnie as a guest
  8. Just caught up with the meeting stream. Congratulations to Plymouth for getting so close to winning with such a patched up and below strength side. Redcar should feel disappointed they only won by two. Thomsen was doing well until his falls. Barker will be out for a while so more guests needed for future meetings. Looks to be a great atmosphere and well fun club down there, seemed to be plenty of fans in, well done!
  9. McDiarmid must be the best newcomer of the season. Very good rider.
  10. Seen some very good and brave racing today. Hooky, once again, impressed. I think Hooky has to be our rider of the season so far. Hes doing it home and away for us. Batch, Hooky, and very surprisingly, vuolas done good for us today. Vuolas took a while to get going but once he did he looked very quick. Tate and Jye disappointed. They looked promising after the first heat and tailed off after. Less about comets and more about Oxford now - how does Heeps keep getting positions in Oxford. He's awful.
  11. You can tell the difference when a Northside meeting finishes and ones that did at Derwent Park. So now everyone heads for the various car parks, there's not many on foot. But at Derwent Park traffic was held up while pedestrians, lots of them in the good times, blocked the bridge exit for vehicles (apart from the those who went to the bar of course). And DP is only 150 yards from the railway station. Northside a longer trek but well worth the effort folks.
  12. I was thinking the same thing, Wednesday's match doesn't have much riding on it, so wether he sits it out or tried to ride & had to pull out, wouldn't really harm Poole. But following Wednesday is a much bigger match, so could aim for that if not fit enough for Oxford.
  13. A chance to average drop.... Although... For the Brummies, and the Aces bottom four, how will we tell? 😄
  14. Oxford track get s more like Sheffield every week, fastest line as close to fence as you dare get
  15. Yeah enjoyed meeting you too - despite the dialect probs ha ,ha. Who knows maybe one day Somerset mind find a wealthy fan generous enough to get that track up and running again.
  16. A late post after the meeting Do Oxford fans not partake in the forum ?? Worky run the cheetahs close just missing out on the bonus point would have taken this result before the meeting. Some decent racing, gave the travelling comets fans something to cheer 😁 long weekend on the road for ridets and fans time for rest until the tiggers come to town on Saturday 3pm start
  17. As the final Premiership matches are on the 4th September & the play-offs start on 8th September, there's not a lot of time for clubs to advertise their matches. I'm not suggesting they do what they did last year or Bring forward the cut-off date, but why not declare which club is racing at home on the 4 available dates? Top of the table at the end of August gets first pick, let's say that'll be Ipswich, they could pick 18th of September to guarantee the second leg at home (most clubs want that). Then go from there, once the positions are finalised, they'll know the away teams.
  18. Worky operate with transponders as far as I know. We have had close races decided by transponders in different meetings this season. Personally I think tenths of a second rounded up or down to the nearest tenth is precise enough for speedway. Transponders are useful for extremely close finishes. Don't know anything about Worky transponder issues on friday so can't help there.
  19. Len Silver said the same about Rye House
  20. Nothing really on Wednesday's match at Oxford, perhaps a rest would be better, ready for the BSN semi final against Glasgow
  21. There's no more updates yet that i can see. But I feel like he is a bit similar to Lawson in that unless a doctor rules him out he'll prob try and ride.
