"In no particular order" should be understood to mean any heat advantage, no matter the value. That's 8-7 in favour of Redcar.

This incident will have massive repercussions at a tough time for the sport. More costs incoming...

GP line-up for 2026
Fromafar replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Is the track FIM standard if it is the capacity is enough to hold a GP given the size of some recent venues. -
It's my thoughts only, nothing at all to suggest it will happen. As @SteelShoe says, if it was financially viable and well sponsored it would only add to the fablous product we have at Northside.

Will be giving this a listen. We had Nigel on a podcast we did, funnily enough, and he was a good listen. Proper speedway man. Always enjoy your posts on here, Deano, and I'm sure Robbo is equally good value! -
But that Poole meeting was already scheduled before he agreed to ride at Foxhall so it makes no sense?

GP line-up for 2026

I agree Ipswich could host a GP. It's not as cut off as some stadiums in the series and has the capacity and logistics to host one. The only issue is the track. -
Told to by Poole probably.

Wonder why will cairns pulled out?

GP line-up for 2026

How are people saying Ipswich is hard to get to but Malilia was on the SGP calendar 😂 that’s the worst place I’ve ever visited to get to. Foxhall you can get buses from the town centre and super easy to drive to. The surrounding area is so big you could have a massive car park and the SGP set up (DJ etc) on it, and probably create a better atmosphere than most other stadiums that just have it in a small location near the stadium. Ipswich would be accessible for all of east Anglia and London, and do Manchester for anyone midlands up. The only problem with Ipswich is the stock car track and not a real sense of being right next to the action. Apart from that, I think Thursday night showed how well you can hold an event, even with the pyros. Chris Louis would know how to hold a SGP event that’s for sure! I would say it’s about 1% chance of happening by though as they would have to clear it with locals, and spedeworth and also foot the 6 figure costing to SGP. But… pack out a 10,000 event at £50 a pop and you could make it profitable. - Today

And your point is? It didn't affect tonights meeting.
-
I'm all for new clubs but would be very surprised if a new club came straight in at Premiership level. Yeah I did misunderstand re National League. Would be nice to have a NDL team in addition to a Championship side but only if it was fully costed and didn't jeopardise the financial viability of the club.
-
Had a superheat written all over it. Was a good meeting tonight fingers crossed for everyone affected in Heat 14
-
I know it's only a fun meeting but they seem to have got the Groups a bit lop sided. Summers and Loftus both have higher averages in the NDL then Etherington and Vale it would have been fairer to swap those around.

That individual is a real pain and is doing the cause no favours at all, he is best just ignored and just hope he doesn’t do any damage -
Hope that all are OK. The rule only goes to 4-2s if its not clear from the 5-1s as i understood it but it could be ALL heat advantages. So it would be Tigers on the 5-1 basis or Redcar on total heat advantages.
-
Best wishes to the injured supporters. In the circumstances the result is less important than their welfare but rule 012.1.26 does not say it's the team with most 5-1s, it says it is the team with most heat advantages over the two legs that wins. Which in this case seems to be Redcar (8 heat wins to Glasgow's 7) Actual wording is: Any official team fixture abandoned after heat 10 where the score is level, in either leg and/or on aggregate after the second leg, the extra point will be decided with the count back system using the results of both legs, if appropriate. The team who scored the most heat advantages (5-0, 5-1, 4- 2, 3-2, 3-0 in no particular order) will be awarded the extra match point and/or aggregate point.

Do you really think this is an appropriate comment after what happened this evening?
