  1. Past hour
  2. There is... but somebody should tell the World Champ šŸ‘šŸ»
  3. I agree regarding interpretation. I've always been concerned with the lack of any physical kerb at King's Lynn - I remember being on the centre when racing was taking place and feeling distinctly vulnerable to a bike ploughing into me off the second bend at full pelt. I'm surprised no-one has ever raised that as a H&S issue!
  4. When it matters, in the play-offs, he has so far been good, 4+2, 5+3 and 6 - clearly outscoring his opponents, I don't disagree in that he has had one or two bad meetings - needs a good 4-6 score tomorrow as well but I feel saying hes been just ok is a little harsh on him!
  5. So it's a sad farewell to speedway at Perry Barr. The local council/lease holders couldn't wait to get the bulldozers on site and have already erected a wall around the site to keep the travellers out. Will we ever see a return of the the red B or will it be left in history as what was a great sport. Although I wasn't a long time fan, I've had a few good years going there and working there and meeting many people whose club this was. To them this was their whole world, who spent many many hours and years trying to keep it going. In the end it just wasn't to be but, better to have tried and failed than to have never tried at all. So farewell brummies wherever you are until we meet next time around.
  6. Why would arry be any different to the BSPL management as they don't usually turn up to any previous finals
  7. I hope that Keynan has been getting some practice in as when was his last competitive meeting?
  8. See your point, perhaps this seasons top8 should not be allowed in the qualifiers next season and have to rely on top 8 place again or if they do not make it should allowed back in qualifiers the season after.
  9. I’m sorry but this just isn’t true and I disagree with Taps here for once. Edwards has been ā€œokā€ at best. Certainly wouldn’t say superb. He was outstanding against Birmingham, but that was an exception rather than the rule. He’s had some dreadful meetings. Yes he’s a rising star and nobody should be expecting too much, but he’s now one of the more experienced rising stars and has been riding fairly well in the championship. Jenkins didn’t start the season fit. He then had further numerous falls which completely ruined his season. Often riding through the pain barrier and being strapped up to the eyeballs, he’s tried to battle through it before another fall made him call time on his season early. Despite this, Jenkins from his 13 meetings has still averaged MORE than Edwards has from his 18 meetings this season. Certainly isn’t any kind of ā€œBrucie bonusā€ to have picked up Edwards instead of Jenkins. Definitely fortunate though that he was available to fill the vacancy I’ll concede that! The other options would have left Ipswich badly exposed in that area.
  10. Today
  11. There is no speedway outside of Poland and Sweden
  12. I think that was why he was moaning about the 8 day rule but doubt it would affect Leon much whatever the track is like.
  13. Kinda crazy to have Glasgow riders guesting when Glasgow are there 2 days later! Unless they think track will be completely different.
  14. I think most people have always understood it to be as per the FIM regs, and I suspect refs over here use that as their interpretation. I suspect the ref on Monday wasn't interested because it wasn't conclusive Perhaps the UK rule is written differently to accommodate situations such as Belle Vue having a raised kerb, so you can’t fully cross the white line without crossing the inner edge of the track.
  15. Believe he is going to the second leg of the play off final having just been appointed Head Coach of Glasgow Rangers. šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚
  16. Have only missed 1 fixture this season at Workington and that was the pairs as it was my m8s wedding who goes to the speedway with me occasionally and I live 70 miles away.
  17. Yes, top 8 into the next years GP, but have qualifier's with no current GP riders and have 3 new faces(at least) to join, then a GP challenge for the next places(Less 1 if they keep the SEC place) GP challenge line up Bottom 7 from GP SGP2 Top 3 6 next from the qualifiers
  18. Although that only leaves 7 places for new challengers as currently some of the current GP riders opt out of the qualifiers and risk not getting back in, which gives more spots in the challenge meeting for new triers. Your system gives existing GP riders a backstop which I'm not so keen on.
  19. I will be there travelling across the A69 and hopefully my m8 from the teddy bears will be coming along as well with me.
  20. Jakub Miśkowiak returning to Częstochowa apparently - I assume in the U24 position.
  21. Compared to the FIM regs: "If a rider crosses the white inside line fully with both wheels or leaves the circuit, they are adjudged to have retired from the race – unless they left the track to take essential avoiding action (e.g. to avoid a fallen rider)." I think the interpretation of the 'crosses the inner edge of the track' will be the same as 'crosses the white line fully with both wheels' In any case, the ref wasn't interested!
