This has been an ongoing theme since they took over. They’ve clearly made a very good impression on the riders particularly who haven’t been short of praise for the way they’re handling things. The insurance issue being the biggest one. That won’t have gone unnoticed to riders everywhere and you’ll now find the new promotion won’t be short of offers from riders asking to ride for them. Early days still of course, but it’s been an excellent start from them so fair play to them.

Oxford vs Poole KOC QF 13/05/26 1st leg

Ridiculous decision to exclude Rowe there. He was in front of the two Poole riders and didn't seem to deviate off his line. Can't believe he's been thrown out. Specsavers ref? -

Brave decision by the ref but he got it right. Anders had his leg across Zach and then out of control into the corner and gave Zach no chance to stay on the bike or get out the way -

Hope so mate -
Just to clarify, if indeed as I couldn't find it on the club site. Did they say they were going to put a permanent big screen on bends 3 and 4?

Nasty crash heat eight as Killeen lifts on final bend. Rushen nowhere to go, then Richings falls. All up except Killeen. Medics with him hope he’s ok. -
You ever watched Klindt ?

Looking at his scores for Kings Lynn he could do with a bit of Championship racing to sharpen him up! -
This was his down fall at times

Ben Cook is at every Poole meeting home and away (other than fixture clashes) so ridiculous he dropped Championship racing. He is there, why not earn? -

Understandable that the track was lightly watered because of the threat of rain, but Lee Kilby said no rain since mid afternoon. Bowser out again. Not really doing much though. - Today

Waiting for the comments on this excellent, full throttle speedway race. What would that be for I wonder? 🤣 So, a game of 'Spot The Difference'. A clue, it happens on lap 1. -

Another tough meeting for the Comets, hopefully the mid week rain and later start time will help the track preparation, -

Think with the dodgy RR for Poole tonight, they should be called the cheaters not Oxford 😜 -
Mx is a lot closer! 39 other riders coming from 50m gate to a 10m track! He’s a multiple champion in mx. speedway wasn’t for him not because he couldn’t do it but because he didn’t enjoy it.He won the 500 youth every round in his first few months of trying speedway, 3rd under 21s and represented GB on many of occasions. Scored a championship maximum 15 points at 16. Beat many of the top riders. I think he done ok for the couple years he was in it. Especially someone with no speedway background at all. I’ve seen his races from the weekend at roden and if you believe there’s no close racing you are as daft as your comment says you are! I’ve just YouTube him and this is the first one that comes up! This is actually my first time seeing this video but he was definitely confident then.

Back to the 6 pm start time this Saturday and another tough test for the Comets with the visit of the Oxford Cheetahs. The Cheetahs team is spearheaded by Heat leaders Sam Masters and Anders Rowe and at the time of writing the Oxford side are still missing Erik Riss because of illness but the team still pose a threat with Luke Killeen and reserves Dayle Wood and Darryl Ritchings. For the Comets we are still waiting for the return of our own injured riders in Craig Cook and Vinnie Foord.
