As its only BSN series, although Paul Bowen seemed to think it was KOC , it maybe have to be done by then. I imagine they will do there best to get it sorted asap.
-
Think they have stopped that now (as of last season I believe) so has to be done by Halloween.
-
We have had meetings in November.

I don't think you can afford to postpone it for a week when we are near the end of October!

Oh I see well I was thinking it may be the following Wednesday

What will 2026 UK speedway bring?
Ben91 replied to Lionsman66's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Does the lack of clarity about what British Speedway will actually look like contribute to the reluctance of Sky (or any other broadcaster) to cover the sport? Seems to me that plans for the league structure are waiting on a potential TV deal yet a broadcaster will surely want to know what it is they’re signing up to show on their channels. -
Not sure but Drew himself believes he is affected by this change so if not he will be very happy guy

Agree with most comments made on this thread. Watched on BSN, very exciting with some breathtaking action and really showed speedway in a very good light. Must admit I've enjoyed the Championship meetings more than the Premier ones. Congrats to Poole, always a well oiled machine. A big mention to Glasgow for always being in the mix and finally two other teams which I have enjoyed watching this year:- Edinburgh, good to see them on the rise again and unlucky not to make the final. Plymouth, a small club and some people knock their track but always close and entertaining racing. Look forward to more action next year.

What will 2026 UK speedway bring?
flagrag replied to Lionsman66's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
If it was up to me 100% British Premiership Speedway would be back on Sky Sports unfortunately it’s not my decision I am however having words in the correct ears . There may be some interest if the right deal was available and if a decent league sponsor could be found to support with the production costs as Speedway was not planned into 2026 plans . I am a great advocate of BSN however it’s very much a niche closed product so can foresee some potential issues with sponsorship for clubs -
Even if it was postponed they prob try on Friday. 27th is next Monday.

Where does this Poole don't like it wet come from? I've seen Poole win away when track was wet and home team weren't interested but Poole got stuck in 🤷 -
Loftus would be the first signing.IMO.Definitely a talent.

Without knowing the ins and outs of any proposed points limit changes/other rule changes i'd be happy enough to see a good few of the 2025 team return with the exception of MPT. Also don't see Palovaara returning on that high an average. Could we persuade Sam up the road for one last hurrah? Mr Riss fancy a return? I'd keep Loftus and maybe add Wood alongside him at reserve. That could be quite a powerful pairing on a fairly modest average.

Sounds decent enough. Not my cup of tea but more importantly clearly not the TV viewing publics either. Don't get me wrong TV companies love filling their schedules with content... ...if people are watching and clearly they're not. Highlights show is fine but it will end up being on the graveyard slot and as someone has said what's the point if someone likes the highlights show enough to turn up to a meeting and it's nothing like the highlights! Everything now is in short bites. It's why nobody watches Match of the Day anymore. The goals from other games are available on the way home from the match. You've see everything you need to see in 10 minutes and you haven't had to listen to Alan Shearer waffle on. Speedway heats are ideal for that just not if you have to wait 10 minutes between them. Speedway was always a family sport but families are a different animal now where the kids call the leisure shots and they just don't like waiting for anything.

GP line-up for 2026

A few sheets of plywood and you have your bespoke fence. How wide is the track, couldn't find the info? -
Something with response advice will be out this coming week apparently. The general public's reponse to the whole situation has been bizarre The Swindon Needs Speedway group had only a small turn-out when presenting their petition to Council last year (2,300 names but only about a dozen turned up at the Counci), a recent call for funding help saw only a few donate and now some are moaning about the line-up in the Oxford 4TT this week! Social media has over 2,000 followers, but it seems many want speedway back as long as they don't have to do anything themselves to make it happen!

Don't think anyone will pay £450 for a Premiership Season Pass tbh. Are Sky Sports interested? -

Yes Poole don't like it wet. Better take some dirt off the track to prepare for the forecast wet conditon on Wednesday afternoon (according to the Met Office for Poole) Or maybe an early call off to wait for sunny conditions. ??
