  2. Well no point in arguing over the pros or cons of Grahn as he's been signed now. I'd have no issue with Kye as 3rd heat leader, as he performed really well as number 5 in the latter half of the season. As for Heeps, he went downhill after leaving Edinburgh, had 3 seasons averaging 5ish or less, then had a much better season in 2024, before reverting back this season. So my thinking is if he's been a 6+ rider as recently as 2024 why can't he reach that level again? Apart from that, I'd sign him for the same reason Poole signed Kerr & Workington signed Batchelor when they dropped their averages. As for Lasse his GSA has gone up every season, so I wouldn't agree that he "isn't getting any better". Jacob Hook could also be an alternative to Lasse. Now I'm not saying either of these riders will definitely up their averages, my theory is combined Fredriksen & Heeps would score more than Castagna & Wood! Finally as people laughed at my Coles suggestion, can you name riders under 3.74 (if they go with Paco & Kye) who will do better? Wood, Perry & James have been suggested, while they possibly could do better, there's no guarantee - otherwise they would have a higher average than Connor! I'm not saying Coles is 100% the best option, no-one stands out above the rest imo. So thought use the guy with the highest average.
  3. The sport doesn’t deserve it, the way it’s run deserves it
  4. You will have the usual suspects on to you for this You can't just estimate figures, however accurate they may be,it doesn't satisfy them Please provide either receipts, copy draft contracts or copies of conversation transcripts
  5. If the Premiership goes so does British Speedway inside five years, if not sooner. We need it to survive. Consolidation is what’s needed in the short term to try and build for the future.
  6. I wasn't happy at the time after witnessing first hand but he made up for that only discretion with many a strong away performance.
  7. Complin played a huge role for us against Oxford and Poole in late 2023 when we secured the title, but what happened in early 2024 was a disgrace. I still remember being at Shielfield Park in the opening away fixture, wondering why heat two was going ahead with only three riders. Absolutely nothing on the club’s social media. If he serves his ban and pays his fine, everyone deserves a second chance.

  9. If Ipswich don’t come to the tapes in 2026 it will be my first year since 1989 not attending any live speedway. Yes I fell out of love with it in 2009 & only attending a handful of meetings between 2009 & 2017. I got back in to it as a semi regular in 2018 & ever present since 2022. Even though I’ll miss it, it appears Louis has done the right thing looking to get out. The whole thing is a shambles.

  11. I agree with your final paragraph and at the end of the day it is only worth what someone is willing to pay. Where there is a very limited market of potential buyers (as with a Speedway promotion) the seller is not in a particularly strong position when it comes to getting a price that they may wish to achieve.
  12. Dead right!!! 🤬 ..... and where does that leave Speedway? 🙄
  13. No I stated many times I don’t know why they insist on a premier league when it’s in this state but he like riders do seem to be making their decisions for themselves rather than the good of the sport, of course I’d be happy to listen to your or anybody’s explanation of why they insisting there is a premier league giving it was broken last year with tv money and more tracks
  14. New podcast out now with me taking crap as usual
  15. I dont think thats the sole reason but its probably part of it.
  16. A few weeks ago, Danny King was saying how much doubling up meant to him, as it meant he was able to go home every night and spend time with his family, rather than having to ride abroad and stay in hotels... I spent a few years, two weeks at a time, in hotels, working away, even when my kids were small, and got home for three days every other weekend... UK Speedway is simply set up for some promoters to have a hobby, and too many riders to be "full time"... £5k a night for some competitors in a sport with attendances plenty of level seven, and below, football clubs would be concerned about cannot be a sustainable plan surely?
  17. He was also a lying druggie that ruined our 2024 season. And let his wife make a show of herself on Facebook giving it laldy that it was over the counter pain medication that caused it
  18. So the rumoured team is....... 1. Josh Pickering 11.46 2. Luke Harrison 4.97 3. Abblit 4.91 4.Connor Mountain 5.96 5. M. P. Toft 6.1 6. S. Lambert 4.48 7. Ryan Ingram 2.00 Total 39.88 Pickering's last Championship average was 9.42, Scunny will have a further 2 points to play with on the 1st of May, they will need to make a ruthless change early if they are going to be competitive.
  19. So you believe Stuart Dickson wishes the Premier League to continue so that he can have/keep two jobs? And that’s it?
  20. Strange comment for you to make & only applicable to blind lemmings? Surely, if you don’t want it, then don’t buy it is the more sensible course of action isn’t it?
  21. The owners would not be selling only “fixed assets” but selling a “going concern” to include the assets and “good will” being an intangible value representing its brand, loyal customers, reputation and license to trade in speedway. Of course if no buyer can be found and the business closes then the “assets” are all that remains to be sold off in order to meet money owed to creditors.
