  1. Past hour
  2. Easy night for stars. Can see Mitch and Victor scoring a few more points once dialled in....
  3. That was the same Somerset fan who made the post Singy13! Good to meet you!
  4. Would say riders would prefer slick tracks and will voice opinion. These heat waves probably require many more hours put into track prep and some clubs don’t seem too have the time or volunteers .
  5. BELLE VUE: Brady Kurtz, Norick Blodorn, Jaimon Lidsey, Zach Cook, Dan Bewley, Tate Zischke, Jake Mulford. BIRMINGHAM: Tobiasz Musielak, Jonas Jeppesen R/R, Keynan Rew, Paco Castagna, Matej Zagar, Simon Lambert, Sam Hagon.

  7. Maybe need to water later We all know it's hard But for better racing really need to get more grip like it was last year 3td and 4th bends are no man's land away from white line
  8. Today
  9. Wonder if the riders have influenced slicker track prep? . I believe the outside line could be roughed up more for next week, certainly Tate hasn't been as effective on the slicker surface. Quality of racing has to be the main priority because that provides the entertainment but it is also important to win your home meetings. Sometimes you change track conditions and your own riders find it more challenging than the opposition so it becomes counter productive. Recent meetings have been on hot breezy days with high evaporation rates which haven't proved easy to mitigate against. I have noticed with the later starts that by the end of the meeting moisture starts to come back from the ground which coupled with watering at grading breaks has helped. Bomber will utiluse any outside line on Saturday 😃, this has the potential to be the best meeting of the season so the track needs to be a fitting stage with our boys really up for it. UTC !
  10. Derwent Park was within walkable distance for a lot of people living in town, not the case with Northside where most will now be driving to get there, so I don't think a bar would be top priority.
  11. Regarding the track, I was talking to Steve lawson prior to the meeting he told me that as of 2pm they was that much water on the track that the truck/tractor were just picking the shale up on the tyres, so it's a big balancing act to get it right. Unfortunately the dry weather is due to continue so track prep will be difficult again
  12. Tuesday’s QF 1st leg line-ups Dackarna v Vastervik Dackarna 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 Vastervik 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 Indianerna v Smederna- live on Premier Sports 1 Indianerna 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 Smederna 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 Rospiggarna v Lejonen Rospiggarna 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 Lejonen 1 2 3 4 5 6 7
  13. The inconsistency of the Ipswich team still concerns me…..I am not counting my chickens yet.
  14. Should be a very comfortable night at the office for the Stars. 56-34 Stars 1. Kvech - 13 (5) 2. Iversen - 8 (4) 3. Harris - 6 (4) 4. Lawson - 10 (5) 5. Klindt - 8 (4) 6. Cook - 9 (4) RS. 15. Preparation for the final for both teams.
  16. If there is four fixtures in one night that will require 56 physically fit riders to be allocated - nah no chance.
  17. As regards the gate and go track some people dont understand the impact conditions like yesterday bring for the track staff, no matter what the track these type of conditions make track prep really challenging. You only have to look at it to see this is no way a gate and go track, it was created purely for racing and is one of the best in the country in my opinion. As for the proper bar well who is to say in time there wont be something similar to what Somerset had on the first bend?
  18. As he said he'll no be rubbing deep heat on his nut sacs 😂
  19. Or they could dip for each rider, "Dip, dip, dip, my little ship...etc." (Ruder versions are available).
  20. I agree they probably lost money going to Australia and New zealand but they went there for a number of years, along with big cities in Europe. When Speedway Gps go to these places it benefits the sport as a whole, prestige, media exposure, public awarness and sponsors. When Discovery got the contract they said they were going to grow the sport and have a gp in Australia by 2023 at the latest, I wasn't a fan of the BSI but they never to told porkies on this scale. .....
  21. It would be a bit like, say, Aryna Sabalenka winning the Australian and USA Grand Slam singles tennis titles. Think of the bad publicity that would attract for tennis. It might never recover...
  22. For point 4) riders should be picked in turn by the team manager... leaving the fat lad until last. Sorry Ben Barker 😂
  23. It was last season. I thought that's why they introduced it in the prem now as worked well in the Champ last year.
  24. I can't find it on his Facebook anymore, i should have screen shotted it but he said something about his ankle being f'ed and that he thought it was a sprain. (I would have thought a break would it being f'ed but anyway...) He also said he was going to get it checked out in Denmark today.
  25. I tend to agree with the gaters paradise comment, certainly for the majority of this season. The excitement has come from the closeness of the meeting scores, most of the passing is done by turn 2 lap 1 and getting round the outside of anyone turns 3 & 4 has proven virtually impossible. This hasn't always been the case, yeah you couldn't do it on lap 4 because the start/finish line comes up to quickly, but you could get the nod into turn 1 on previous laps. Still, I've enjoyed most meetings, we've had some nice weather which has been great for watching, just maybe not quite as good for track prep. I do think the track has the potential to produce better racing than it has lately, and it proved that last season.
