pointsmeanplayoffs 417 Posted March 31, 2015 Is Porsing actually fit to ride tonight? The picture he put on instagram of his knee the other day didn't look promising. It was the size of a football. A lot of pressure is on our second strings this season, now our reserves aren't sooooo much better than their counterparts. It's going to be freezing later but f*** it I'm going to cheer on the boys.

Skidder1 7,642 Posted March 31, 2015 (edited) I think Lakeside will do what they've done in recent seasons - win pretty much everything at home early season and not perform that well away. They will lead or be in the top 4 of the EL for the bulk of the season and then end up outside the play-offs, when it matters most. KL to win tonight 54-36 - subject to the weather/conditions! Bryn 413 Posted March 31, 2015 Anyone driving up from South of the Dartford crossing with a spare seat in their vehicle would love to keep you company (and chip in petrol money of course). Please PM me with your phone no so I can get in touch. Cheers

I'm quite surprised that we've been written off for getting results away already. I don't think our team is particularly strong on paper, but as I've pointed out a number of times (along with other Lakeside fans) this team has been built to perform better away than previous seasons. Just out of curiosity, which of our riders do you think won't ride well away from home? I would say the only one that has been a home track specialist in particular for us in the past is Kim Nilsson, and I wouldn't be surprised if this is the year that he starts to score more away judging by his first 2 home meetings. We've taken some chances this year, but if they pay off I think we could do much better than everyone expects this season. I think a number of our riders have the potential to increase their averages. Having said that, your prediction for us is exactly what we've done in recent years, so we might just do it again!

Star Lady 5,400 Posted March 31, 2015 Having just been outside to try to stabilise our fence!!! And nearly been blown off my feet I'd question whether it's safe for 4 riders to be on track together. If this wind doesn't ease they will be blown all over the place not to mention any rubbish or debris being blown onto the track affecting their vision. Has a meeting ever been winded off?

g13webb 4,254 Posted March 31, 2015 If we cant beat a strong Lakeside team at home, the chances of Lynn reaching the Play-offs must be pretty low. That's not being in anyway detrimental to the Hammers who will no doubt go well at Norfolk Area, but there are much stronger teams in this league than them. With the new scoring system that helps the home side to score, I will be very surprised to see Lynn fail to get all three points........ But saying that, Lakeside of old, are more than capable of picking up an away point....... Rain and Hailstones coming down by the bucket load in Heacham at this very moment. Blue sky and Sunny here at Walton, 10mls south/west of Lynn..... Still very windy and cold though....
Mimmo 1,070 Posted March 31, 2015 Sun is back out now, but my thoughts are the same as Star Lady, is it really safe for four riders to be out on track in such strong winds. I can see a lot of the track shop merchandise distributing itself round the stadium tonight.
