I think this comes down to how the Russian people perceive this action of banning everything Russian, will they see it as Putin's regime being unacceptable or will they see it as the West picking on the average Russian.

I think it comes down to how normal Russian people perceive everything. After all people are demonstrating against the war, but are being arrested. They are not allowed to post or say anything against the government opinion. So it seems some or many know things are wrong and don’t support Putin. It is a matter of how many and how high up in the echelons they are. I have seen a report that one or 2 Oligarchs are against the war. Maybe over time one or two generals will also decide things aren’t right and maybe something will change. Certainly nothing will change if everyone ignores it and just let’s things carry on as normal, including letting Russian athletes compete under a neutral flag

I largely agree but I don't think Russian Oligarchs care about whether Russian athletes compete or not, they just care about their own finances.

Only a matter of time after the F1 had made similar moves.

Does that push Jack Holder and Dan Bewley into the series as 1st and 2nd reserves?

Or would it be the next two from the GP Challenge, which I think was Kolodziej and Smolinski?

Should be the first 2 of the reserve list (so indeed Holder & Bewley) because the official starting list has been published some time ago.

I think they changed the rules 2 years ago that the next in line from the Challenge don't now get promoted.

I don't care who gets the spots, just glad that the FIM have done the right thing.

Let's not also forget that it was only a few years ago that it was Emil boycotting the SGP!
