Steve Shovlar 10,439 Posted September 8, 2022 (edited) It was stated tonight on BT Sport that this weekends football fixtures are likely to be cancelled with no sporting activities for the 10 days of mourning. This will clearly affect speedway as any other sport taking place. There should be an announcement tomorrow. Leicester v Poole on Saturday is now off. 40-38 308 Posted September 8, 2022 Still playing the Champions League tonight though? How apparently disrespectful!

Yes but Uefa stated the announcement came too late to stop people attending so decided that tonight's games should carry on. The minutes silence at Old Trafford was impecably observed by the whole stadium.

topsoil 2,498 Posted September 8, 2022 Total over reaction. Cancel everything the day of the funeral and a minutes silence is enough. 9
