Oxford v Poole 5/4/23 BSN Series

Recommended Posts

Met office still saying 90% chance of rain from 7-10pm. This is why having no tracks in Greater London sucks so much, such a trek for the risk of a rain off.

Can we not have a double header on the Friday? Or are Oxford using stadium for something else?

Greyhound racing at Oxford on Friday, starting at 6.17pm. Doubt they'd be able to get a speedway meeting done beforehand sadly.

Has this comp been raced before?

Almost every year since 1997. It just keeps changing its name.

Work than less than half a mile from the stadium and weather still fine. A bit overcast, but no more than it has been all day.

So it's been the Premier Trophy, Jubilee / Summer Trophy, League Cup, Championship shield maybe? I'm sure one year the KOC had group stages too!

98 was the non knock- out year. Reading Racers won despite being tanked by Peterborough in the group matches.

Champ Shield - yes

And

1999 National Trophy

They obviously trying really hard to run it. Have my fingers crossed the rain misses or doesn't hit til 10pm.

Was going to travel up as no local teams to me and kids on school holidays but with the threat of rain have decided against it. However will endeavour to get to a meeting at Oxford this Summer.

They are not going to hang about. Parade at 7.15. Tapes up and go for it at 7.30. They are currently watering the track. Perhaps not wise?
