I'm not sure that "Boogaloo" is still racing. I think his only riding these day's is for demonstration only. The years are catching up with Bobby, He's a good way into his 6th decade.

He still rides regularly in first division at Costa Mesa.

Last Saturday:

The ones I think of who haven't been mentioned:

Lindgren

Rune Holta

Hampel

Kolodziej

Gapinski

Walasek

Rune Holta was another I've never seen...perhaps one of the better riders in recent times not to have ridden in the UK regularly?

Roynon still in Development League!

What's wrong with that? For the amount of serious injuries, fair play to him

Nothing wrong with it as far as Adam’s concerned - saw one of his really big offs at Brandon where he wasn’t moved for 40 minutes.  I’m calling out a system which runs a competition called “development” which includes a rider with 20 years experience of league racing.

Don’t jump to conclusions!

Didn't jump to anything asked a simple qs. I don't like the development league name because it really isn't, its a national league imo older and younger riders.

Not riding speedway anymore, but Andre and Benji Compton are both competing in the BMW F900, British Superbikes support series this year. Andre is doing pretty well too.

I see Americans mentioned in this thread and without starting another, can someone explain why we don't seem to get riders from there anymore? Surely there must be a number of youngsters who are promising?

When you have riders in their 50's and 60's racing - and still competing at the "top" level, I think that's a sign how few promising youngsters are coming through...
