To them Manchester will be like Torun, Warsaw or Wrocław is to a Brit. Manchester has a lot of history and is surrounded by a lot lovely countryside. Sometimes we don’t really appreciate what’s on our own doorstep, the grass is always greener thing……….and of course that also applies to a Pole living in Torun, Warsaw or Wrocław. Apart from the above, you sound like another who is advocating no world championship or similar top draw events should ever be held in Britain because potential venues in your mind are boring. Manchester is a great city and there are many things to do in a variety of guises on its doorstep too.
