Martin Dugard was a great rider; he’s the only one I’ve saw.

He won the British GP as a wild card, didn’t he? I’m sure it was in the early 00s and at Coventry.

Yes he was part of the Dugard Dynasty....

Grandfather Charlie

Father Bob

Uncles John and Eric

Brother Martin

They all rode speedway at one time or another. I believe Martin has a son who tried speedway?

Isn't Brennan his step son? Martin that is.  Or have I dreamt seeing pics of him helping him when he was in the juniors?

Personally I feel he should have achieved more as he was a great talent. Going back to Eastbourne after Oxford was a mistake in my opinion but I guess that he felt comfortable around his father/family? Gordon Kennett once said that Martin should have taken himself off to Australia for a winter tour (as many riders used to do) to improve his technique and self reliance but I guess working at the Dugard Machine Tools at Hove (?) during the winter took precedence?

Brennan mom lived with Martin Dugard as partners for many years before she sadly passed due to cancer

I don't believe they ever married so strictly speaking not step son.

He mentored Tom though and some I know think Tom has suffered since he moved away from the Dugards to base himself in the Midlands.

Kelsey rode for Worky and Oxford in NDL this year. And his brother Connor promoted at Eastbourne

His temperament was questionable. Saw him knock a reserve rider off after a race finished, because he had the audacity to beat him.

He took after his Dad, Bob, who was known for "expressiing" his views!

Is Sam Hagon related to Martin Dugard? Watched a BSN interview and thought straight away he looked a young Martin double.

Fundin, Mauger, Briggs, Rickardsson, Nielsen, Craven, Knutson probably best 7 Ive seen ride, plus Olsen, Hancock, J.Crump, Gundersen, Moore, Zmarzlik etc.,

Briggs, Adams, Ashby, Doyle, Crump, Broadbanks, Kilby, probably best Swindon 7.

Sayfutdinov, Doyle, Musielak, Harris, Nicholls, Douglas, Rowe probably faves from this season.

Ah, ok. Didn’t know he was his uncle, thank you. I knew Martin Hagon was his dad.

Yes.   Sam's mother is Martin Dugard's sister Charlotte.
