Busy day for Jan Kvech who rides in this meeting, then has to hot foot to Poland.

As does Tom Brennan.

weather here today has been really up and down, torrential rain, then warm and sunny, but far too much of the wet stuff for the track.

it was tipping it down again at start time so a good call really.

time will tell if the track is any better in the morning, I’m not particularly confident.

expect Kvech at reserve to have all his rides early in case the meeting doesn’t go the distance so going to make it even tougher for GB

Tom Brennan as well. He will be chop lifted from Pardubice to Ostrow in a helicopter, because his meeting in Poland starts early at 2pm local time.

Kvech has more time, his meeting at Zielona Gora is at 7pm

Czech’s obviously finished strongly as we were only 6 down with 4 heats to go (Czech Rep 38, GB 32, France 16, Germany 9).

SGB set up really don’t seem to like the Thompson boys.

Surely the way Dan has started the season vs Jenkins start would have warranted a place?
Is it still Vatcher in charge or do Allen/Stead play a role?

Terrible last 4 heats, and Brennan missed his last ride to get his helicopter

Bednar looks to be one of the best coming out of the Czech Republic, worth keeping an eye on for sure

What an utter shambles and disgrace TEAM GB are!

Brennan leaving before the last ride is disgraceful.

To represent your country is the ultimate aim of any sports person and to let the country down is disgraceful to say the least.

Inept management in every respect of team selection and the reasons behind selection.

Pitiful display by who some regard as our future super star rising stars

You have take in the fact that the meeting was postponed from Sat.Brennan could have pulled out altogether. We don’t have a lot of rising super stars these days.

Last year at Pardubice we had a meeting postponed and then rearranged for a 9am start, Mikkelsen and Bewley got helicopters to their Polish meetings and Adam Ellis drove but missed his sign in by minutes I believe so couldn’t ride in the meeting

Some of our lads do appear to have a bigger expectation of them than maybe their capability level would currently warrant...

Messrs Screen, Loram, Woffinden, Lambert and Bewley were, whilst well under 21, beating world level heat leaders regularly...

Wouldn't be a bad thing to lower expectation, and therefore pressure, on these lads..

If they reach HL level in Div 2 and No6/SS level in Div 1, it will be an achievement...

None of the current crop could hold a candle to the names you have mentioned.Like I said we do not have a great deal of international level youngsters at present.
