Might be 3 guests if Rocketman gets a ban for his non appearance last night not due to a speedway injury

Eastbourne Speedway Ltd shareholders include R L Dugard Will Trust and perhaps if this is a trust then the trustees have decided to sell to realise cash for the beneficiaries of the trust or for some other reason. The latest accounts filed are a micro version and for the year ending December 2024 a provision of £350k is shown on the creditors side but given they are micro accounts it is impossible to find out what is behind this. Net worth feel from £574k to £170k but some of the reduction will be the provision. They did have what appeared to be a healthy current assets position. The suddenness of the decision is a mystery unless they are close to a deal to sell and the new owners want vacant possession and not be tied into leases etc. with a third party. In time we might find out but yes it is a shame to see another track go. Had many memories of travelling to Arlington to watch Rayleigh and more latterly Ipswich ride.

All conjecture... Maybe he did have a solution and that, for whatever reason didn't happen? Hence he then had to call later in the day?... When my wife was ill the night before I was at work, I always waited till the next morning before making a decision given she may have improved... I don't get fans almost taking a rider missing a meeting personally, no one will lose out more than the rider himself, both on the night and possibly whilst serving a ban...

I’ve no idea if it will be worse as I’ve no idea what it will be. I’m guessing that with the collusion of fans, the product will weaken (considerably in this case) and the price will remain the same. Rinse and repeat as has been the case for decades. Will tracks use the cash from lower wage bills to improve or build stadiums or invest in youth or promote the sport in a more effective way than they currently do? No is the answer if looking at the previous couple of decades (bar a few). The race to the bottom is hotting up and the chequered flag is in sight, all whilst being cheered on from the terraces.

Would agree he riders are dictating the sport.Admission prices don’t drop when Top riders are missing fans should not be treated as mushrooms.
