Chris Louis on behalf of the BSPL did approach the Dugard's a couple of years ago about the return of the sport, but like us, was told no. Things have changed now. 

The naivety of posters like this will be the death of British speedway. It’s difficult to debate this with someone who cannot distinguish between a legitimate home advantage from deliberately sacrificing the quality of racing to maximise the chance of a win. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; Poole build excellent sides that are more than capable of winning AND entertaining.

The risk would be one of the reserves getting injured in heat 2 and the other reserve then having six rides to cover plus their own three - cant be done.  Safety first approach is to go with a guest which is entirely sensible.

But maybe a certain incident could be at the top of the list to discuss 😜
