County cricket is supported by an ECB marketing budget of 40 million pounds shared across the whole of Cricket. Speedway has hardly any central marketing budget. That would be more than the whole of world speedway combined budget I would imagine..! 

Maybe they (foolishly) believed they had a decent team & didn't need changes? Some clubs are certainly more ruthless than others & will make changes to strengthen an already strong team!

Think both clubs might get similar results against Northampton so the aggregate point over the next few days could be crucial. Could be very tight for that extra point.
