Sorry for your loss. Had a few run ins with him on here but at least he was no snowflake running off to the admins and mods every five minutes. Hope he gets a good send off.

Disappointing to see no victory parade for the Stars, very nice of the KL riders to come out and talk to us all after the meeting! -

I criticised it at the time, but just saw BSN’s highlight of it on social media and Staechmann is spot on; he makes a mistake, looks at Harrison and turns left coming off the fourth bend. A shocking move. Hate this part of modern day speedway; young riders are all over the place. Killeen is the same and cost Dan Thompson a large portion of last season because he couldn’t control his bike. The British U21 final ending with three of finalists crashing as they crossed the line sums it up for me. Best wishes and regards to Harrison and Scott because through no fault of their own, they needed medical attention and their evening was over. It’s such a dangerous sport as it is. Things like this are so unnecessary. -
Friday 8th May 2026: Edinburgh Monarchs v Workington Comets, Cab Direct Championship, Armadale Stadium, 7:30pm EDINBURGH ROSS ECO TECHNOLOGIES MONARCHS: Nick Morris (guest), Jonatan Grahn, Justin Sedgmen, Paco Castagna (captain), Kye Thomson, Mitch Cluff, Jordy Loftus. WORKINGTON GT TYRES COMETS: Jonas Jeppesen, Niklas Holm Jakobsen, Craig Cook R/R, Tate Zischke, Troy Batchelor (captain), Darryl Ritchings (guest), Ryan Ingram (guest). Will Dan Thompson's injury take the edge off the delight in qualifying for the BSN series semis at Glasgow? Nick Morris comes in to guest. Comets run R/R for Cookie and have two guests at reserve - Darryl Ritchings and Ryan Ingram. Will Monarchs' reserve pairing continue their improvement and get a heat advantage in Heat 2? I predict an 8 - 10 point win for Edinburgh as long as Kye's not too tired after his paid 19 from 7 rides at Northampton. What a start to the season he's had!

Just back. Very decent set up, track needs a bit of work, bit narrow on entrance and exit of the corners but they could extend it on to the infield in time There's an outside line on 1 and 2 if you get it right as Bomber did in one heat, nothing on 3rd and 4th though, reminded me of Foxhall The team however is very Birmingham notwithstanding injuries to Niels and Zagar, if they can't get Lidsey, Klindt and Batchelor going it's hard to see who they might beat. Kye Thomson showing them the way, absolutely brilliant performance but he won't score that every week

He's hardly "picking & choosing" his meetings, as he's not ridden since his injury.
