    • Definitely miss Wembley and the amazing atmosphere there . There’s pluses and minuses to a one off final . It’s a big plus imo. One thing though about Cardiff is that the stadium is right in the city centre, accessible to everything the city has to offer . A weekend in Wembley itself would be a bit different I reckon these days 😬. The day itself though would be amazing.
    • i  would say it would the same % as the old days when crowds were massive . As i said fans dont care about guests  in speedway and never have always been a complete myth  . it would be  miles down the list in problems Speedway has ,
    • It looks that way at the moment.
    • Obviously a log of justifiable criticism of the track but it it hadnt been so bumpy Bomber would never have won, he loves a challenge!   As a Poole fan Lindback winning was another highlight especially as I had a decent bet on him. Criticism of the hotels is justified also but you didn't have to stay in Cardiff, we hardly ever did preferring to stay outside Cardiff and get a train in.
    • Just found a great Interview with Vinnie....23 mins long !  Its just been uploaded to youtube....go get it and enjoy !
    • Cardiff was more about the atmosphere around the City before the meeting and won’t be captured again. The opportunity to see riders from the SGP circuit in thew City and for my kids to get photos and merch etc ... Plus once Ian Jordan rinsed Eastbourne and forced it to close it was the easiest opportunity for my family to see Speedway.  The novelty however started to wear off, the hotel prices were extortionate and logistically we changed our plans over the years as my children got older. Go Fri night and make a weekend of it. Then go early Sat AM and return on Sun and for the last Cardiff into Wales Sat AM and driveback after the meeting. Cardiff could never match the NSS for quality of the racing watching British Finals and SON live in Manchester was immense but Cardiff had its own appeal and the gathering of speedway fans all over the country in one place was always a highlight.   The tickets were excellent value for money and no fear of a rain off , although on a couple of occasions the track was so poor you could imagine the riders considering not racing due to the state of the track. All in all it was a great occasion but it was like watchimg MK Dons in the final years - "Your grounds to big for you ...."
