Has anyone started an official proper thread for this meeting yet8 points

That's ruined it,,, there is another perfectly good meeting thread for speedway talk7 points

fully agree with that statement but was it affecting him to the point he was a danger to himself and other riders drug tests are not only there to stop you getting a advantage they are there to keep everyone as safe as possible in this and other dangerous sports6 points

Delays of the magnitude we've seen recently are unacceptable, and cost cutting in this area should not be allowed, I understand that at Poole a rider who it turned out had serious ankle damage was pushed on a trolley through the local streets to hospital. Imagine the conversation amongst the residents... Whats happening there ? reply Oh it's some speedway guy had a crash at the stadium but they can't afford an ambulance.. The basic requirements just aren't acceptable and improvements in the medical cover need to be made urgently .4 points

Well done to Josh and his team for the job done at BV last night. A great display of a Captains job well executed, “The Joshinator” is back.4 points

What a match... not one for the purist but a 4 big points for a depleted Witches side. First up well done to Danny Ayres whos 4 points were vital. Have to feel sorry for the Pussycats... you have a track that is superb but on last night's showing it may as well be half the width and races over only 1 lap. Any rider trying the outside line lost 5 bike lengths. Easy for updates though... FTG.... FTG. Genuinely feel sorry for them if that is what's served up every week. Who would have thought the Witches would have 7 sets of gating gloves. Totally wrong decesion by the ref to exclude King when it was clear to most that Andersen knocked him off. And then what came in the re run was shocking. Out of no where Andersen T-Boned Heeps and both went down hard. I've seen reports that the Witches fans were cheering... that's well off the mark. There were shouts of total disbelief as to what Andersen had done and concern for the stricken riders. You could tell Andersen was knocked out and here's hoping he's ok. Amazingly Heeps got up and won the rerun. Not that Proctor wanted to beat him as it would have meant only 5 points down and no chance to use a tac sub. Heat 11 saw Tungate "bundle his way past" Lawson in a crazy move .. especially after what had happened the heat before. Lawson let him know his feelings after the race and a bit of handbags insued. Wonder if Tungate got fined for riding over the centre green? Heat 12 saw the red hot Tungate used as a tac sub but could do nothing to catch King. Seemed as though Panthers then threw in the towel when the pointless Starke was put in heat 13. Least he got his Audi.... Great result.... poor racing... what has gone wrong with Peterborough and Kings Lynn tracks? Up the Witches4 points

Shafted? Tero Aarnio was in the Belle Vue declared 1-7, effective 30th June. He was injured but as he hadn’t appeared for the Club no facility was available. Ricky Wells was also injured so Belle Vue couldn’t revert to the previous declaration (as an injured rider cannot be (re)declared in a 1-7). So the only facility available to Belle Vue was ‘no facility’ - a CL Rider with a sub 4-point average.4 points

Stefan is sore and has a burn on his leg so I understand, but nothing is broken.4 points

I suggest you go back in Speedway history when one promoter had a finger in the pie of 13 Speedway clubs and without him there would probably be no league Speedway racing today. History is littered with promoters running more than one club4 points

I hardly think following testing protocols is picking on someone - better to be safe than sorry if anything is "inconclusive", rather than letting someone carry on and possibly cause harm to others. If they took a slapdash approach and a rider got injured, everyone would be having kittens. Hope he can put it behind him now anyway.3 points

What an absolute shambles.......... Wouldn't you have thought they would have been 100% sure the Stadium was going ahead before ripping up the speedway track !!!3 points

Swindon might be a bit put out by that as they'll need him big time against Ipswich!!!!3 points

My sincere apologies with tarring you with that brush. Should have known as you didn't come across as bitter and deluded and rolling out excuse after excuse from the book of whoppers.2 points

Only so many times we can beat you in one season, don't want to get you fed up with that scenario.2 points

to try and hang on to the support you've got and maybe just maybe attract new fans... It was the best night of weather this year on Saturday night and there were some new fans in attendance, do you honestly think they'll be back?2 points

Again, you need to look at the Green Sheet in its entirety. Issue 11 gives the 1st July figures in Column C, where Ricky Wells' average reduces from 4.52 (June average in Column A) to 4.24 Issue 12 does not affect Belle Vue averages Issue 13 shows a change for Belle Vue effective from 30th June. At 30th June Wells' average is still 4.52, and the team total is 42.34, so Aarnio at 4.55 is a valid team change. No mistake was made here. I do however accept that the way the Green Sheets appear can be complicated when a change occurs during the transition period between months.2 points

Makes you wonder if the track was prepared with the away team more in mind as there more likely to be the one team of the three owner linked teams to reach the play offs.2 points

I remember them at Brandon back in CO's days, but whether they remained in more recent times I'm not sure My original point remains the same, that any cut-off time should be printed on the race card part of the programme so that there can be no dispute if it comes into play2 points

Is the top and bottom of it. There is an established elite. It's as corrupt as UEFA.2 points

I've not commented on this yet outside of my own forum so how cheery should I be given that the Chris Harris select roll into town to plunder the points yet again and the management team (yes I'll call them that because I've no idea what anyone does apart from Johnson being the mouthpiece) serve up the next different circuit which Panthers (mostly slow starting or not bright enough to ride the white line or thereabouts on turn one) can't race on. on June 26 Johnson added: “The track is getting better and better with every meeting that goes by. “It’s fast but it’s also exciting and I don’t think anyone could have any complaints about what they’ve seen here this season.” As a semi retired keyboard warrior without a clue, last night generally: track, presentation and atmosphere was thoroughly depressing and that view is based on many more years as a fan than he's seen as a manager/promoter. Rant over, for now2 points

Think Steve Shovvy gets a lot of unwarranted criticism. The guy is passionate about Speedway ( I nearly called it a sport then). Ok he sees it all through ‘Poole tinted glasses’. Then again are there not many on here who are very blinkered toward their own Team ? He is a bit of an easy target and does leave himself wide open. Then again maybe he just enjoys the attention.2 points

What’s wrong with coming out of the aforementioned toilets only with a slight design change? White trainers with a yellow stripe down each side.2 points

Can’t imagine having Vissing would have made much difference. I also thought if the rider you are bringing in hadn't ridden for you yet then you had to revert to your previous team.2 points

Fantastic effort from the boys tonight, everyone getting stuck in and contributing, special mention for Danny Ayres, don’t think anyone would argue this level is a bit above his for the most part, but always gives 100% so 4 points and beating Scotty nicholls twice a big well done to him! another big 4 points on the road for the witches underdogs! How’s that league table looking!!?2 points
-
Because he was riding for his team. No complaints, better team won, still seen some decent racing and that's what really counts after all.2 points

Taken from the article. After some remedial work the racing resumed but Rory Schlein got no further than the tapes as he touched them and earned a disqualification. But conditions actually had improved somewhat as Todd Kurtz showed by blasting round in 50.38 seconds to win heat five although again there was little to excite the true racing enthusiast. Chris Harris couldn't get anywhere close to Danny King in heat six, although Anders Rowe did try and put pressure on Drew Kemp in a forlorn bid to try and prevent another Sheffield heat advantage. What machine was Todd Kurtz on, because that is over 9 seconds quicker than the track record.2 points

Think there should be a notice on the gate, just like there used to be about not getting your money back if the meeting was called off after set number of heats2 points

I’m afraid to say reading through your thoughts on this it makes no sense to me whatsoever and only raises more questions with regards issue 13. It’s tedious in the extreme how this sport works as some participants look to gain an off track advantage. Maybe I need to speak with Craig Ackroyd to help me get my head round it.1 point

If we can only get Doyley and Batch going well on the same night when we're away from home. I know Jason had the problem with his steel shoe but even so it was a poor return from the 2017 world champion. Don't know if it is the early season injury that's affected him or what but he's not looked like the rider of 2017 this season. Considering we lost poor old Stefan early on the rest of the team all put a shift in. Let's hope the skipper returns to form soon and we can get in amongst the play offs.1 point

Its all about the tracks, terry daley is crap at the iow and campos is quite ok. A sensible change1 point

The Aces are definitely missing that third heat leader.. Dan is riding one position too high in the team as is Steve Worrall.. Their true level is as second strings... Their home form delivering a disproportionate overall average higher than their true capability... Not sure how the Aces sort that conundrum, hence a two man team in the main.. Especially when they have a team manager who struggles to give race winning reserves more than five rides...1 point
