Just to be pedantic Hans Andersen is not riding in Poland on Sunday- He is in Latvia riding for Daugavpils in the Polish Div 24 points

Not a lover of the points system. Preferred the old method when every point counted towards the final outcome3 points

Not a bad meeting but inside gates after track grades were vital. Janowski deservingly won with pass in the final.I still think points scoring system is sh#t but they know the score.3 points

If you believe speedway is dead you've obviously not been to Arlington (Eastbourne Eagles) recently. Why then are you wasting your time posting on this forum surely your time would be better spent commenting on/participating in things that are of actual interest to you.3 points

You should change your name to Thickrat! Are you suggesting that Poole somehow have some control over the Czech government and bribed them to change the countries COVID laws the day after the rider signed for Poole just so that they could use R/R? What a complete and utter3 points

maybe Troy's young family might be holding him back in his head? who knows? affects different people different ways, some see a safer life away from speedway without realising it. something i did mention quite a while ago on here3 points

She was much more than that... She was the first host presenter in the history of the sport on TV in the UK who was actually a knowledgeable fan. Was able to bring more to the party than the stock "what is he thinking right now", "will he be making any changes to his setup" and "is the track changing" questions. And was a decent presenter too. Everybody else has been a rent-a-presenter.2 points

Why strangely? It's a different class. 250cc vs 85cc. Cloppenburg will host the 250cc World Championship next week.2 points

It’s not within the rules. But Poole have been given special dispensation for 7 days. It’s wrong on two levels. Poole chose to sack Keheler so they should have had his replacement ready to step straight in. They didn’t because they had to act quickly to keep cook at reserve so in my opinion the promotion caused the problem so should adhere to the rules.2 points

All this arguing now will not change the outcome. As in football what the ref gives is law on the day. I was not there so can not give an opinion but I have ordered the dvd so may then have a true thought about the matter. With regard to the r/r I see where people are coming from but the rider was in the country and red tape is holding things up. Poole were given a seven day facility but if it is not cleared by their next meeting the facility is withdrawn. Mr May would have objected strongly if there was anything underhand going on. Can’t wait to get down to Poole and watch some racing in such a competitive league and also to Plymouth (my home city) to see the Gladiators. Must admit hard to think of them not being the Devils.2 points

Surely you mean she knows "of" Speedway1 point

It is, but just run with it. Enjoy it for what it is speedway, rather than a win at all costs season. Promoters and riders have probably never found it as tough as the present moment.1 point

If you have Sky you can order it through your Sky box. Go to the BT sport channel then click the red button on your remote and it brings up the option to add it to your Sky package.1 point

I believe the 50mile restriction for live streams, does not apply at present, due to the restricted attendance limits because of Covid regulations. In other words anyone can use the online streaming option.1 point

If you look at Road Racing such as British Superbikes, Bemsee/MRO events which feeds riders into BSB or those that just do it for the hobby, there are 1000's of riders who all have the same goal to become World Superbike or MotoGP championship, it costs an absolutely **** load of money to progress in Superbikes, even at BSB level unless you are highly sponsored where you keep a % as a wage, 95% of riders pay to ride there are very few who get paid to race, and there is no prize money as such only incentives across certain rounds to make money In the world paddocks in the same, bring loads of cash with limited riders getting paid to race, even some factory support seats its a paid seat As ringsitneck has just said, you need to get people at training days with ex or current riders, why not write to kids who do Moto X, Grasstrack, mini bikes, road racing etc. and say come and give it a try, its a sport where at least you get points money, bit cheaper than the journey in road racing, even if you unearth 3 or 4 new riders per year its a start then you need to build a structure that is appealing for British youngsters to take up the sport over something else like BSB1 point

All the permissions were fine but then the Czechs changed their quarantine regulations (along with UK and other countries) the day after his signature. With committed fixtures in Czecho it has become difficult - not to say impossible - to get the Czech authorities to agree a 'special case'!! Other options are being investigated but there ain't that much rider availability in the 5.00 average range..........!1 point

What exactly is the objection about?? If I owned a stadium right now I too would be looking at other possible income /selling up options. Speedway is dead, let's be real1 point

Issue 10 of the Championship GSAs gives a clue to how the RS rider averages are being calculated. Jordan Palin, while retaining his 1* RS grading, has moved up the Scunthorpe team roster from 7th to 6th, above Josh MacDonald with a 4.00 average and below Simon Lambert at 6.09. This suggests that Palin has a CMA of >4.00 and <6.09, but it seems the actual figure is not to be published. This may means that Drew Kemp does have a CMA from his 4h4a for Ipswich but it doesn't exceed Paul Starke's 4.67.1 point

When we come down for the KO Cup match on the 31st , will it be back to pay at the gate since restrictions will have ended in England ?1 point

The riding style used to be like grass track still is.. As the rider entered the bend his aim was to find grip to propel him back down the straight as fast as he could.. And with the hard compound tyres and deep tracks, if they rode them "howling into the bends sideways" like they do today, they would have been spat off when the tyre dug in.. Nowadays riders take up a fair old chunk of the entrance to the bends when side on, with the usually slick surface allowing them confidence to do so.. Hence the best racing is usually to be found on the wider tracks... As you say, at the very top level the racing is still fantastic. As it always was... Unfortunately the vast majority of races (especially over here) are competed in now by a standard below the very top level...1 point

He probably realises that he has more chance of improving by regularly racing against a better standard of rider.1 point

How can Poole use R/R for a rider that has never rode in this country? Cheating at its best.1 point

His confidence looks shot to me. If he gates and gets out in front on his own, he looks ok, but he doesn't look like making a pass. I feel a bit sorry for him because he was talking about being number one man in the league and how everyone would be gunning of for him, but he looks a shadow of the rider he was. Not sure what the answer is, but I don't think the club or Troy will put up with it for too much longer. In the end, if the club look at other options, it might cost James Wright as well and the Tigers might go for a more solid look with Holder, Ellis, Pickering, Howarth, two more solid riders and a rising star. Ideally, I would like to see Troy regain his form and wish him the best.1 point

A nice round of applause for Connor Mountain & Ricky Wells. Good to see them in the points.1 point

Your comment re how far out riders slide is spot on... Watch the old racing on YouTube from the 70's and most riders slid the bikes well into the turn... Meaning they often entered the turn almost straight legged before hooking the back end round midway through the turn.. Which meant room to pass the rider existed for the one behind going into the turn faster... Now with riders virtually sideways well before the turns the track space to pass must be very narrow indeed at most circuits given the lack of width of the straights and bends...1 point

Correct, fast times tonight which means poor racing as the inside is grippy and fastest way round. It got bit better in last couple of heats when Wright started finding some grip on the outside line but too late then. I do wonder how much difference this new tyre has made too.1 point

That made me laugh, he's playing a lot of golf at the moment, including 36 holes last Sunday week in the club champs. You can't do that with a dodgy shoulder...1 point

Added to that it simply isn't entertaining and not good value for money...In USA you get over 30 races..loads different ages..bikes..a great nights value and only $15..just over £10...the answer is reasonably sensible..but needs courage and intelligence1 point
