Just pleased to be able to look forward to watching Speedway at Brough in 2022. For a while it didn’t look good.3 points

I suppose with a home track advantage type team you keep the home fans happy seeing a winning team, especially back in the day with the bonus point , although a slightly different situation now, even so win all your home matches especially with an 8 + margin and playoffs virtually guaranteed , mind you I think MPT would be wanted at any track and team at the moment.3 points

Now I know your making things up……………. They have never had blokes selling the Chronicle for years in town3 points

For most tracks in the UK regular practice sessions and or coaching events are nigh on impossible Only a handful have few if any restrictions of use My local track for example (Ipswich) are limited not only by landlord expectations but also local authority restrictions The stadium is only allowed to hold a maximum number of events each year *can't recall the exact number but it may well be less than 1 a week on average There is then a restriction of no more than 2 events in any 8 day period as well as limitations as to what times and for how long the event takes place Get over any of that and you then have the fact that the landlord would want in excess of £3000 to open the doors3 points

The original......looks like a row of trees still show the outer edge of the stadium to the right High Beech : https://maps.nls.uk/geo/explore/side-by-side/#zoom=16&lat=51.66557&lon=0.03746&layers=193&right=ESRIWorld3 points

In fairness think a lot of scunthorpe fans don't believe they seen Adam at his best which is probably true . However don't think there is any animosity towards him just think there are potentially better fits for us as a club2 points

J. Lennox and his business partner Leslie Maidment. The first races held here were in April 1951 but racing was wound up in 1953 after a series of poorly attended events. The site remained derelict until 1969 when it was demolished. The site is commemorated in the street name 'Stadium Close'.2 points

I don't see what the big fuss is about Ellis, I'd rather have someone who's fully committed to Scunthorpe and won't miss as many meetings2 points

To give them maybe more of a balance on away tracks? Tracks like Lakeside, Rye House and Eastbourne often seemed to overkill the home small track specialists to the detriment of their away results.. One thing for sure with MPT is that you will get 100%, so any gap, however tiny, will have his bike aimed at it, which will be fun to watch on a tight circuit..2 points

Hi Skidder Wasn't aimed in your direction . My comments were aimed more at could the promoters have already agreed on structure/points limits & if any changes to if 1 or 2 rising stars for season 2022. Also the fact that so far Zach has not been named in the 5 named Plymouth riders which a bit of a surprise (if he was staying) considering how low his GSA is, and the fact they have 2 rising stars named in the 5 so far. We all know Zach is a potential upward mover on that 4.40 GSA. His Poole guest scores alone prove that plus he improved in the later part of the season. Let's hope we can get him My only concern on the legal battle was if like many UK legal situations it dragged on well in to 2022 which not great for the Club/riders or us supporters. I am sure Danny/Matt have things well in hand. I am soooo glad I was wrong in how things were going at one stage earlier. So pleased I was wrong big time Knowing the points limit and rising star situation would make the close season name next seasons team game much more interesting and better . I mean for those of us not so close to any inside info .2 points

Thought that no Wednesday night racing was the main reason Poole stepped across the the Championship? Poole as long as I remember gas ALWAYS been a Wednesday night track . Anyone on here remember when the first rode on a Wednesday night ?2 points

You would think that these clubs would need to do something similar to each other all the time as their business model must be heavily based on 'local' derbies.. If only one moves then they are very much stand alone.. And if two move that leaves one left alone.. Bottom line though is why would any team "move up" when you can see the vast majority of the same riders each week already in the 2nd tier?2 points
-
That’s an extreme example to pick. He’s a reserve in a team where six riders have an average within one point of each other.2 points

That's Zielona Gora remaining in the second tier for 2023 then. Brilliant team built by the Bydgoszcz management.1 point

My mate’s Sisters Brother-in-Law has been told off someone who bought a Chronicle from someone selling them in the city centre that her uncle’s cousin reckons we’re in Talks with Laguta who they reckon comes in on a 3 point average because he once watched Neighbours and has a Kylie poster on his wall. Keep it to yourself1 point

I remember a George Stancl interview on an Edinburgh speedway video, commenting on racing in England, only to be reminded he rides in Scotland lol!1 point

That’s an obvious downside, but their owners are very ambitious and I wouldn’t be surprised if they decide to give it a crack.1 point

Happy with that Does it mean Paul and Matty flipflopping between 1.and 5, or just 5? Hopefully there is a genuine #1 to come1 point

He can be "on the slide downwards" and still be one of the top 2 riders in the league! (with Jack Holder)1 point

Great to see Doyle remain loyal to Britsh Speedway. He's more of a Brit than Bewley, Lambert and Woffinden.1 point

Unfortunately I have a big big feeling he will be at Ipswich,,,, as we do seem to like an Aussie that doesn't live up to expectations.1 point
