Berwick don’t go well at Armadale normally is such an out of date and ill informed statement. Theo Pijper and Ricky Wells have both won titles for the monarchs, Wells scored 14 last season in the play offs, Chris Harris scored paid double figures both times last season for Birmingham, Jye Etheridge got paid for double figures from number 1 at Armadale last season, he’s going to be at reserve on Friday, Leon scored paid 14 guesting for Plymouth last season, Proctor normally only scores a couple, as does Bickley, but Kyle got to ride the track last week so should have a bit of an advantage. We should be looking to win on Friday, and it will be a failure if we don’t pick up a point minimum imo.5 points

Although I was a plonker and wasted a gallon of fuel and an hour and a half of my time last night....looking at the photos, I'm really pleased to see that the management had the good sense to call last nights meeting off. Who would of wanted to watch racing on that type of surface, also who knows what lasting damage it could have done to the track. Great call ! Fingers crossed for next week!4 points

The first meeting done & dust free (mostly). Some good racing with places swapping on a regular basis. It would not be fair to find fault after all concerned put in a sterling effort. this was the first night & a lot was going on with all sorts of presentations the biggest of course the return of Hans Nielsen to Cowley. I think next week will be run swifter & hopefully in front of another big crowd. Get your tickets early it could sell out again with the current champions on track2 points

My brother was very impressed with what he saw...well done to all those who got speedway back at Cowley!2 points

The problem at the moment, is that the gap between the Premier League & Championship is too small, and the gap between the Championship & National League is too large. With Premier heat leaders riding in the championship, only the very talented riders stepping up from the National League stand a chance. The Championship standard should be more like the Newcastle team this year, which would give riders similar to those above, a chance to score some points and progress. Also, doubling up needs to be gradually reduced, initially only allowing riders who do not ride in any overseas leagues to double up. Imagine in the 1970's allowing top first division riders to ride in the second division !!2 points

His replacement won that heat as well,, maybe its a new Hawkins tactic,,,,, Cam,, go get some chips will ya1 point

Any truth in the rumour that Heeps missed heat 8 as he was stuck in the queue for chips ???1 point

And they’d be right. Track was dreadful. I’ve more of an issue with some of our brain dead riders though, King in particular. He’d already had a couple of rides and he must have known because everyone there knew, the outside wasn’t working. Every time he was out there he went backwards and got passed by the Peterborough boys up the inside. So what does he do in his next ride? And the one after that? Yep, get his nose in front and instead of then sticking to the white line, he stays by the fence and gets passed again and again. Like I said, brain dead. Fair play to Peterborough though, they were superb again.1 point

Well done Panthers, I really like Basso,,,, all riders like him are out there to be got,, so why the f do we keep faith with certain riders,, that yet again flopped completely1 point
-
Probably judging by how they've started the season but you never know, we have enough riders who can get round the EoES well enough!1 point

Bloody hell. Makes them far stronger. Best wishes to Josh for a speedy recovery. That’s it. Oxford to win now.. In truth I have no idea whether it strengthen or weakens Oxford.1 point

Cheap 'away-day' for the Diamonds then?1 point

Looks like both Allen and Etheridge are tonight making it very difficult for Lemon to decide who to keep... Maybe he will just decide neither....1 point

More confident than I but reckon it’s going to be very close. Fantastic it’s sold out again so quickly. I really hope the Oxford promotion all the success possible. Except when they are riding against us! Fans of both clubs knew it would sell out so if they hadn’t got their tickets, tough luck. Will we see ticket touts outside Cowley next week? There’s a thought!1 point

I always enjoyed my trips to both, but my recollection is of Odsal being the better race track. I remember the steep banking of the Shay, and Kenny Carter being nigh on unbeatable. Of the two, I probably have fonder memory of the Shay, but don't recall that the racing was brilliant, and the dvds I have of meetings there seem to support that.1 point

"Mourinho" trying to pull a fast one with his riding order lol. I like having your number 2 in averages at 4, might slightly weaken heat 13 but gives you strong 14 and 151 point

I’ve tried every area of Foxhall over many years, and have always gone back to standing where the old garden bar used to be. Fantastic view as riders enter first bend.1 point

I think most clubs in this league or the so called Premiership league would bite your hand off for crowds of 2,000 a meeting whether it be a flash in the pan or the crowd numbers continue into the season, a few well attended meetings soon swells the coffers of any club and helps them thru the season, good luck to them and long may it continue i say.1 point

The Blosers in North Brum. You're having a laugh. Over half the 40k seats for the games are temporary. It'll never happen, simply because the Alex is the premier stand alone Athletics stadium in the country. The headquarters of UK Athletics is based there. They don't need to share it with anyone. More chance of BCFC sharing with Solihull Moors!1 point

There as some very good competitive racing in the match v Scunthorpe although it does not show in the final result.1 point

Perhaps the promotion should have contacted Andy who streams weekly from Poole and Plymouth. I very much doubt he would have charged anywhere near that.1 point
-
You're all looking into it way too much. Each team home and away twice is the aim. Keeping it fair and mixed, not just showing the same teams over and over. The fixture list only allows a certain amount of avenues to go down to make this work as well as sticking to roughly one a week.1 point

Glasgow is a fair racetrack now, quite similar to NSS in its shape and preparation. Starkey and stormy should have their moments, complin might find track more to his liking than any others he's ridden so far. Might be trying to put lipstick on a pig but have to be hopeful1 point
