I'm pretty sure once Atkins' ban for withholding service is over Plymouth will have to sign a replacement. My guess on the other two is that while their prognosis or return date remains uncertain we will continue to have a facility to use. But I'd be shocked if we didn't sign Morley until Gilkes returns (if indeed he does this season). While I don't know specifics I do know Plymouth are actively looking at replacements for both short and long term however it's not always easy with the low availability of riders and the politics in the continued farcical world of the BSPA.4 points

I honestly don’t understand what all the fuss is about using guests. Plymouth started the season with a full 7 riders and have lost 2 to serious injuries and 1 rider has quit the team so the situation is not of their own making. We know from pre season that teams were struggling to even fill their teams so there isn’t going to be a long list of riders out there to replace them with. As a spectator, I would rather spend my money going to to a meeting and watching a team with guests if needs be in order to make it a good meeting to watch with similar strength teams on track rather than punish their misfortune.3 points

Not if you're not a queue jumper it wasn't, saw one moron in front of me in a great big black Ford Ranger (I think) almost get into a road rage incident as he barged his way into the queue instead of joining the back... he must have a very small penis3 points

Hope the chipped the concrete away or they are wasting their time.Could always places bollards on track to keep riders off it though.!2 points

Kurtz would most likely of been beaten twice by MPT but for the extra grip MPT got in ht6 and then Kurtz lifting and veering right causing MPT to back off his speed in ht15 You seem to have a beef about Peterborough as most of your posts are just having a dig at them and there age,2 points

Has Atkins got aNDL Team place.? Don’t think Champoinship Clubs will be queuing up for him with that attitude.2 points

3-4 K i would expect( don’t forget the GP ticket holders are admitted free. point 4 and 5 is just plainly ridiculous. Things have changed for the better. Opportunities have grown with the Polish Extraleague U 24 league. Our youngsters are gaining more experience in the FIM Europe events which we were never really interested in- but it takes time and the results will be seen in the future.2 points

How could anyone scrape the shale to make that "groove" without being noticed? The ridge on either side of it is concrete that has been pushed out when the kerb was laid into the wet concrete.2 points

That's a bit crass? Can't blame Newcastle for making the rules. Am sure Poole have utilized the rules in the past, and will do in the future.1 point

A person did say that (personally I think they are one of the best posters on here) but it was only his (or her) guess.1 point

We have a packed out schedule until September, and have got 2 very popular former Bandits in as guests. But I do completely understand what you mean, it’s not our team, but a lot of fans will be very happy to see Complin ride in Bandits colours again.1 point

Its not a prob godfrey will just not let other tracks ride on friday night1 point

The Poole track with its new shale will take a nice few showers1 point

Completely agree, last season your team overachieved and will be remembered for winning against the odds. This year more back to normal. The track has been the same since 2019, but somehow when you're winning it looks different.1 point

Just because a rider is alive and breathing doesn't mean they are available. I'm aware of Plymouth courting at least one rider and genuinely saying "name your price" and still not able to get them to sign, so I believe they are trying very hard to replace Kennett. The only way around these issues is Squads. and squads don't work in the UK because the sport cannot afford squads. Squads only happen with big signing on fees, that's the only way a rider is prepared to make themselves available for work and not be employed while someone else is riding.1 point

Now if someone said it was to lure German fans to stay the weekend, I’d believe it… Cos they did the exact same thing about 20 years ago when Gerd Riss was the wild card in a gp.1 point

I used to love going to Kings Lynn bank holiday Monday… Lynn vAces 1100…pm meeting at Rye house….evening internationale at wimbledon Always rated Lynn in my top 3 sadly in recent years the quality of racing has deteriorated such that I do not rate the track at all… often well prepared track with grip everywhere an no advantage whatever line you use.1 point

I assume that Pickering hasn't done anything like that before and probably doesn't know Kelvin too well either so I think he did a good job last night, certainly an improvement on Crump. Going forward I do think they need someone regular alongside Kelvin whether that's as the lead or co-commentator but it's pretty much impossible to replace Nigel and the partnership they had.1 point

The NSS is the same when I watch the Colts... A great racetrack as shown when the Aces ride but the NDL racing is often brilliant... As you say, just a couple of seconds slower, but not that you notice when watching... The NDL meetings (understandably), seem to have a slicker track too from the off which on the big wide circuits means riders using lots of different lines to try and find the grip to pass.. There doesnt seem the same "riding on rails" around the inside that can happen on the deeper tracks when the top riders ride, which often means strung out (very fast) races.. And obviously there is the capability level which means a few more mistakes, thus passing opportunities.. When Belle Vue charged a tenner in total for me and my then 16 year old lad, we went many times to the Colts and didnt go to watch the Aces as it was around £30.. Basically you got your "speedway entertainment fix" for around a third of the cost.. Real Value For Money the NDL..1 point

Why do folk continually have a go at the Glasgow Promotion because they have successful business? I'm fed up pointing out that the Facenna brother financially support other ventures, such as junior football (equivalent of English non-league) and do lots for the community and charities. Folk seem to forget the help they have given to injured riders from visiting teams and support to Team GB. Too many green eyed monsters with tunnel vision. Maybe the teams they follow would have more cash to splash if the total product offered was up to the standard offered at Ashfield.1 point

Ha, yeah, did they sell double glazing as well? I'd heard that if you continually adjust your clutch cable on the start line and also drop the clutch repeatedly so the bike lurches forwards, you will make blinding starts, nothing to do with anything else.1 point

Think the big positive regarding NDL racing at Shielfield,is the racing can be a couple of seconds slower with the young lads, which produces exciting races with more overtaking,it has been like that for a few season now ,that the Junior meetings have been more entertaining.Long may it continue.1 point

Epic fail. Gladiators were Roman, not Greek. Next you'll be telling me sauerkraut is British, the French love scones with jam and cream, and paella is a traditional Russian dish. After all they are all European, basically the same people,.1 point
