How do you investigate if he had van problems or not? You sending the AA round to take a look?6 points

Don't really get the issue. Leicester have announced that he won't have a championship team place with them next year as moving up to prem. He's obviously wanting sorted out quickly as possible and if Plymouth have done the deal what's the harm? Doesn't effect his commitment to Leicester for next few weeks5 points

lambert ( ex tiger) will comfortably get more than etheridge so aces have somehow strengthened again ! advantage aces now (again)5 points

As good as he is, Lambert ain't getting 15 on a track he hasn't been to for five years.4 points

With Edinburgh unlikely to run in 2023, expect the BSPL to try to exploit this & coerce Tigers to join the Premiership. If the Facennas agree, don't expect them to be offered any assistance in assembling a competitive side from the current PL members who will prioritise their own self interest.4 points

No surprise that under £100k for a full UK season doesn't appeal to many of the top boys really is it...3 points

eh? lambert is an ex sheffield rider who always rides owlerton well... does etheridge ????3 points

I hate the term choking, really disrespectful. I also think folk are being a but hard on Wright, there was a grippy patch on bend three/four which caught a few riders out. Just one of those things.3 points

Isn't it the case that GI as a business buy and run stadiums until they have the opportunity of selling the land the stadium is situated on for housing or similar building development. During the intervening years they charge rent to users i.e. speedway/ Greyhound racing / football clubs and in some cases even play a part in promoting a particular sport. This latter involvement provides some sort of credence to them being interested in finding a new stadium where the displaced sport(s) can move to. But of course, this never happens because when condensed down, GI business plan is to buy sites that in time will be ripe for development - Period. Put simply, once GI get hold of a stadium, the closure clock has started to tick.3 points

Charles and his rush of blood is going to cost us much more than his two points he would have scored Monday behind Musielak, still dont know what he was thinking. I know racers race but you have to use your head, anyway hope he recovers well. He is a big miss at Sheffield dont think Jye will be a big mis tbh especially away. Theres a lot of pressure (too much) probably on our top three, no way will Holder have another bad night, i expect double figures from him, Howarth too i think will step up a lot from Monday, Musielak will just do what he does and Sheffield will outscore us at reserve, overall i really dont see 12 being anywhere near enough, an early home 5_1 in heat two would surely set Sheffield up nicely. With Charles i would have fancied us, but anything can happen in sport as we saw Monday.3 points

That must be for our table topping clash with Sheffield,,, the winner will finish top of the league and face Wolves in the play offs Maybe they have got him back so all the riders in consideration for next year can score zero. I wonder if there has ever been 4 engine failures in a race2 points

Oh, they'd be offered assistance.... But they'd just never get it. Stay where you are, Tigers!2 points

I suspect Zloty which I think would make the sign on fee around £34k and circa £400 a point2 points

I think the wide boys are now moving in on football and rugby stadia. Show up as 'knights in shining armour', separate the ground ownership from the operating company. Use the club to launder money for a few years, run it into the ground, declare insolvency, sell ground for property development. Bury FC and now Worcester RFC spring to mind, but there will be several others at risk2 points

Really disappointed we haven’t signed a replacement rider for wright who’s got a season ending injury, very poor from the BSPL to not allow it2 points

You're not suggesting Lynn v BV will never be staged are you?2 points

, oh don't wind them up.. Arthur Gruber will be getting in his tank Helga will be aroused Von Klinkefhoffen will be skidding around Herr Flick will be in checking his next Court date And The 2 idiot Airmen will be arguing over who's going to be Team Manager.. Meanwhile Danny Boy will have missed it all as its way past his bedtime and Daddy won't let such a rabble in to his Chateau in case they damage the Chandeliers. Only in (Poole) speedway.2 points

I've watched a couple of BSN matches, and I agree that they do a better job than Eurosport. Eurosport seem to base their presenters on how good they were as riders, but I think Adam Roynon is the best rider/presenter/commentator I've heard. He also works well with Dave Rowe as a kind of counter-balance to Dave's full-on delivery. We also don't get long, lingering shots of tractors going round or wide shots of quiet stadiums - of which we get too much of on Eurosport. I hate to say it, but Eurosport coverage often makes speedway look boring. They could learn a lot from BSN.2 points

Congratulations to Poole on their comprehensive win. Perhaps unusually, they’ve stayed loyal to their 1-7 all season and it’s shown through in the way the team has performed. It sounded like they were riding with something to spare tonight which will help them next week when the opposition is likely to be much tougher1 point

Good and fair post, I'm as keen as any fellow Aces supporters to see them finally break the hoodoo and lift the silverware but equally I want to see decent evening's racing, hopefully in the balance until the closing heats, obviously a Belle Vue aggregate victory would be so good to see. I know there's a couple who think we've already lost and I can see where they are coming from, years of disappointment at the final knockings take their toll. Keep the faith people.1 point

Denmark top flight only run 12 league fixtures If the prem in the UK could get to 8 clubs by 2024 maybe 10 clubs by 2025 and just ride home and away once and do away with gimmicks such as pairs or a league cup for the top flight then I am sure UK/Sweden/Denmark could all work together to run Monday-Thursday with some fixture scheduling1 point

Doesn’t matter how long a meeting goes for, BSN always fills the time, there is dead air at all, always something going on, and is very informative. In all the years SKY/BTsport etc have been around, they never once in my memory have interviewed a ref, BSN ticked that box first season. The track walks are so much better than Kelvin sticking a screw driver into the track (nothing against Kelvin I should add)1 point

I dont know all the ins and outs like the Swindon fans but firstly im gutted what has happened Swindon are a great club with a great history and its a disgrace GI were allowed to close down the stadium by stealth under a tissue of lies. I will certainly miss my trips down there always was one of my favourite away days. Hopefully a new facility can be found and we see the club return.1 point

It’s gonna be mental. 2 full 49 seater coaches. Plenty of self drivers with cars full. Will be 300 of us there easy. take over that 3rd bend and riot. Can’t wait1 point

As you say no problem attracting riders just problems attracting crowds on an 'off' racenight, as Poole experienced!!1 point

Did you think of that all on your own? You must really dislike success! Envy and jealousy are such ugly traits.1 point

The reason I asked was because if you have one big league, you can't have doubling/trebling up/down. It'll be one rider - one team. And as I pointed out before, (HERE) at the time I did my count, there were only 111 (I counted one rider twice) riders registered to all 3 leagues who can pledge priority to British Speedway. That included the likes of Edward Kennett, Josh Auty, Ben Barker, Adam Roynon, Aaron Summers James Wright and Lee Complin, whose continuance is by no means guaranteed into next year. So, in reality, you may only have as few as 104 riders. And that's it. Do the maths, that's only enough for 14 teams, plus a few rattling around in case someone gets injured. Where do the other riders come from? Poland, Sweden & Denmark, where they give first priority to their own leagues, so that we can have more Claus Vissing type situations? Will the BSPZzz pull out a classic party trick like allowing teams to be made up of 5 contracted riders and two guests? That might allow the number of teams to be increased to 20 and be no worse off, guest rider wise than most of the Birmngham Brummies fixtures of last season. Who will the lucky 14 teams be? Who do you leave out of your one big league? And if your one big league is made up of 14 teams, there will be no National League. The speedway toddlers will be in the same teams as the ageing former GP riders. Suck that one up. And I'd be dying to know where those romantics who talk about bringing speedway back to places like Eastbourne, Bradford, Coventry, Workington etc think they are going to find their riders from. Not surprised you've lost your speedway mojo. Only surprised at how many still have one at all.1 point

He was there to offer support though which shows the type of guy he is.1 point

If my memory is correct Hans Anderson obtained an independent medical opinion that he did no have concussion but still Belle Vue objected and were successful in stopping him riding. In the event it made no difference.1 point

They will ruin all leagues to protect the Premiership. Always has been whether it was Elite League, Division 1 etc. They may be under pressure from Discovery Eurosport to enhance the product as its a pretty poor spectacle as is. Leicester will add nothing to that IMO. It needs more teams to join as uneven number means there is always someone not riding that week, or fortnight, or month!1 point
