Yep Danyon has to be offered a spot next season with Basso and Brennan. We need too build around youth that are only going too improve.5 points

To be fair the majority of the crap is coming from a set off fans based in Dorset. Come to think of it 90% of the crap on most threads on here come from a set off fans based in Dorset. Go figure.4 points

It wasn’t called the Craig Cook farewell meeting so wether Cookie was riding or not wasn’t the reason fans of the 3 Northern clubs attended. You really seem intent on creating an issue on anything related to Glasgow. As stated above by Cyclone nobody had an issue with it well except you.4 points

I’m not sure it’s just “pond life”. How do you turn the fact one of the top riders wouldn’t be riding after all, actually wouldn’t be allowed to ride, into a positive? Cook was advertised in the line up but where and when (other than at the track) was it announced that he wouldn’t be riding? Surely it’s reasonable for supporters to feel cheated, “pond life” or otherwise?4 points

I'm wondering where I go to for my refund as I attended the Peterborough leg on the understanding that this was leg 1 of 6. Why would any Speedway fan buy into ANY competition that is staged if they're not going to fulfil it?3 points

The Monarchs noted this in their website post previewing the fixture first thing on Saturday. They didn’t say why, but they did make it clear he wasn’t going to be racing.3 points

Cookie came up tonight to Armadale, did an interview of his time with the Monarchs, which was appreciated by the home crowd who gave him a round of applause. Pity some of the pond life on here can only gloat on the negatives.3 points

Yes it is riot night actually, you cheeky so and so. A favourite song of the rioters is ‘ The Wheels From Bus Cannot Be Found’ (you know the tune) so those travelling by coach need to have a plan ‘B’ for getting home.3 points

Sheffield Heat Leaders.. 18 off 14 rides in leg one.. 25 off 14 rides in leg two.. 43 off 28 rides in total.. And that includes a gifted 5 points in Heat Fifteen of leg two which was a dead rubber.. A collective average of 6.14 for the three Sheffield HL's.. And some still suggest it was 100% the refs fault that the Tigers lost...3 points

Just to get the file open , I will wait until limit is applied, It needs to come down , 38 I think . 2 other items to be addressed, doubling up/ down & Guests , ban them , injuries have to be taken . All teams to have a no 8 to use2 points

Bickley is probably a better example of how confidence can be shot if promoted too soon. Harry McGurk too. Ace needs another NDL season and occasional chances in CL if reserves missing or as No 82 points

So where is Danyon going? As he's got a better away average than his home figure, I would have thought he was one to keep.2 points

Nothing to stop you applying then………lol Well, at least you did say “ in your opinion”…… Yeah, we need a manager who can keep a cool head…….Rossco??? lol lol lol……..aye, right!2 points

I remember having a chat with a young Danny King after the disappointment of the Play off run off defeat at Wolves(2004 or 5), poor lad was gutted. I told him to get his head up he'd been brilliant at reserve for the Witches that night and was destined to have a great career! Sometimes sport just doesn't go your way no matter how much you try or want it - just like life! I hope he remembers that night and conversation when he looks back - he has had a good career!!2 points

Exactly Blobby…….gets really boring listening to the Cook haters prattling on and on and on at every opportunity. Same with the Cami haters…..I’m fed up with this football type “we didn’t win….sack the manager” kinda crap. Loads of teams don’t win so let’s sack all their managers, eh?……….Nonsense!2 points

Anyone else wondering why bother with this now especially if their not running the 5th round. I thought this could have been a good idea, the first 4 produced some decent racing and was building up nice then it disappeared and as now turned into a pointless shambles2 points

he got banned for 10 days by the scb for not riding at Plymouth. Is what it is. End of the season who cares.2 points

The only way we can see if Belle vue could beat Sheffield without Lambert in the side is to go back to the 4 league matches we have ridden against each other this season. Home and away first meetings Belle vue on agg won 94 to 86 .On the second meetings Sheffield won 93 to 87. Thats one each add all the scores together to get a winner and the score is 181 to 179 in favour of belle vue another just 2 point win so we kinda beat you three times on aggregate.2 points

Or of course you could just read the regulations 011.1.15Awarding a Heat If the leading rider has completed at least 2 laps, then the Referee shall have the sole discretion to either order a re-run or award the heat based upon the positions when it was caused to be stopped; riders, other than the one disqualified being advanced one place. So my interpretation is what caused it to be stopped was Kurtz being hit by Musielak. Therefore, given that at that point Kurtz was on his bike it is perfectly correct for the ref to award him the race win. The regs are available to download online. No mystery, no secrecy, no conspiracy. Give it a go. They are quite interesting2 points

Thank it'd be a massive mistake for Berwick to run with Ace. Unless the points limit gets dramatically reduced. Being realistic, Berwick won't be running with a top heavy side and if thongs stay the way they are then it runs the risk of Berwick going under the limit once again.1 point
-
True they would be guaranteed a big crowd for the first leg. Hundreds of Poole fans making the very long trip. We will certainly be making some noise!1 point

Ace Pijper is no where near Championship level and it would be a mistake to rush him into the 2023 team. One more year at NDL racing will do him much more good.1 point

Could the Monarchs afford to have both Sam and Josh with their averages in the team next year? I know it becomes chequebook speedway but I've always felt the following season's team building average should be set to that of the league winners. Surely making the other teams improve their squad would be better for the sport rather than diluting it. Bring in a wages limit rather than a points limit and try to obtain some sort of balance. That way some loyalty can be shown and young fans who have spent pocket money on their favourite rider's merchandise may not see their hero moved on after a season1 point

No one will be queueing up to manage the team. Its a massive commitment with time off work and travel for little more than your travel expenses. Dickson wasnt perfect as TM, we've all seen that, neither was Ian Steel but Im sure he has grown into the role each season and become more mature in his decision making. He wont take any s-h-i-t from riders especially the Hans Andersen types who will dominate if given the opportunity and Im certain no one will tell him they arent going out in a heat because it doesnt suit. We need someone like that, if anyone is out there, just not Dickson again.1 point

You asked my reasons I gave them. You don't like them.thats up to you but we could've won the treble I'd still want him replaced. Simple as1 point

Yeah and given the rumoured reduction in the points limit probably going to find most clubs running with a 2 pointer. And look at his u21 effort, beat some very decent riders that night1 point

Best of luck to the Aces.. Could "make or break" their title challenge..1 point

Because those who run the sport have no vision, nor have any consequence for their actions... Instead it is a private members club with everything ran along the lines of an expensive hobby, rather than bona fide professional sporting leagues...1 point

They come up with effusive quotes from the Team Manager when the team wins, but barely acknowledge a defeat - Plymouth being the most recent example - and no mention of Cooks absence, for which it seems he has received a suspension, something unlikely to be recorded on the clubs FB page. Similarly no statement about the Jubilee Final.1 point

One of the nicest guys in speedway, has been severely unfortunate in his career, always seems to get bad injuries. With a family to think of, I think it’s the right call. All the best Sarj1 point

Stop being a twonk!! It has happened dozens of times every year - awarding races is nothing unsual1 point

Berwick have done a lot of good work putting in a pathway from Duns to NJL to National League to Championship then hopefully onwards for riders. It's slowly starting to bear fruit now. They deserve a lot of credit for it.1 point

EXACTLY watching live going down the straight Brady knew what he was doing by not giving an inch and forcing the refs hand ,i could see it coming a mile off,but he did hit the bouncy fence quite hard !!! just to make sure Tobias was thrown out.Classic Brady and in my opinion won the meeting for the aces with a hard block move on Holder, maybe Holder should have seen it coming as with Tobias who should have been more aware at where Brady was on the track.1 point

What a great advert for the sport the Finals have been.. Never a great fan of Owlerton as it is too narrow for the speed and the angles the bikes hit the bends nowadays, to ever be a "great" track, but it served up some tremendously fast close racing... With riders literally knowing that one slight mistake whilst out in front would cost them points... (Evening Jack) There most have been around 500 Aces fans there tonight and they delivered a truly awesome atmosphere.. My lad said how great the sport could be if they could deliver away crowds every meeting to add some noise, and that "the pyro" must have made the sport look worth watching to those who may be less acquainted with the sport but watching on TV.. Incredible at the end to see what it meant to the Aces riders, and Matej in particular... We sometimes feel that these lads are mercenaries travelling the globe riding for all and sundry to earn money, and they never really develop an affinity with the club or fans... Well tonight Matej proved how much he loves riding for the Aces and what this meant to him tonight.. And my lad caught his sombrero when he threw it before Matej jumped into the crowd and celebrated with them..!! Charlie doing a "John Terry" was a nice touch too.. A fantastic nights Speedway both on and off the track, and one that will live long in the memory.. Although I did say to my lad... "It was very good, but it wasn't as good as '93 at Wolves"... Well Done to the Aces. Unlucky Tigers.. Both teams served up 30 heats of great sporting excellence and drama...1 point
